So, we have to run any non Futaba digital servo as analog, according to the manual. And the R304sbe says it runs slower when you use analog servos, hmm

Why do you think the charger is "rubbish"? I actually find it very good! I will agree that the futaba Life pack has a lot less run time than the Life Source that Hobbico sells or other life packs.

Just picked up the 4PX from my local hobby shop. Coming from the 4pks this thing is sweet. infact after holding the remote for 2 mins and going back to the 4pks the screen made it look old.

+1 I'm a little disappointed they aren't providing a rechargeable battery and charger like they did with my 4pksr.

My 4PX arrived on Friday and I spent a good portion of the weekend playing around with the menu functions. First thing I noticed, this thing destroys batteries. I dropped 4 brand new AA batteries in and in no time there was a pretty drastic voltage loss on the display. I pulled the 2200 mah pack from my 4PK and gave that a try. Same thing.
I'll be racing on the carpet with it this weekend, so we'll see how things go. Planning on taking a back up pack and the charger.

First impressions, it feels much lighter than the 4pk. Fit and finish seems to be nicer than my 4pk.
Setting up my 2.2 comp crawler was very easy. The menu to set up the dual ESCs was very simple. Though I might switch back and use the mixing function to control things a little differently. Some of the fun stuff isn't possible of you use the wizard.
Setting up my other cars was just as easy. Was able to pull the settings from my 4pk and with a little tuning they were dialed in just as good as with the 4pk.

I did notice on my carpet cars that I did have to change the steering and return speeds, as you can tell this radio is faster than the 4pk.

Bummer part, and it is my own fault, I didn't know you couldn't use the C1 receivers with this new radio. So, I have 4 receivers I can't use. Hoping to do a package deal and sell my 4pk and the receivers eventually.

And I do miss the power switch. I feel like it is going to be turned on my accident, and when I need to race, it will be dead.

One thing I do like is it will shut itself off after 15 minutes if you forget it and leave it on.

One thing I noticed, the trigger is alot bigger than my 4pk
I tried both triggers. My finger fit perfect with the 4pk

Has anyone tested the 304 receiver against the 614fs for response time.

Can that be true for a high end and pricy controller?

Is the manual online somewhere?

"Introducing the 4PX, the most cutting-edge 4-channel radio in the Futaba fleet. The 4PX is 30% faster and 0.5 oz. (15 g) lighter than the 4PKS-R, for ultimate response and comfort. It’s fully stocked with all the features today’s drivers want — and then some."

This is sad to say, I reserved my 4PX back in July. I received it on Tuesday Sept 30th.
I havent even had a chance to unbox it, unfortunate events at home is forcing me to sell all my stuff. So, giving a heads up here first. I'll be listing my NIB 4PX on ebay very late tonight or sometime tomorrow. It'll be listed @ less than what its listed for through a retailer.
It is the USA 4PX not one purchased overseas

factory battery that came with kit is 1700mah. Hobbico one is 1900mah correct? If so how does it have it much more run time....am I missing something?
