strange question... Five of us are about to do a 12 hour race and one of us is left handed... is it possible to attach a right AND a left wheel at the same time both being functional ?

Can someone tell me if this Tx has two dials above the grip like the 4pksr, a steering dual rate and atl dial? If so can someone explain what the atl dial does exactly? If it's a dual rate for throttle what does that do for electronic cars with esc's? Asked in the 4pksr thread but can't get any answers.
Low-side only trim adjustment. Throttle trims on most radio systems are ATL, allowing the trim to affect only the idle and not the high-speed engine's setttings. NOR (normal) is the other option of trim setting wherein trim movement affects the servo across its entire range of motion. Here are a couple pics of the 4PX manual to have a look at. http://s22.postimg.org/shdwtge8x/4px_1.jpg http://s21.postimg.org/7abi3xogn/4px_2.jpg |

ive been on the fence for a new radio for some time now, been happy with my 3pmx and frsky tfr4 receivers (i know their c1, but they run straight 2s with no regulators for my nitro truggy/buggies) i wanted to get a 4px, but the receivers are just too expensive to outfit all my cars, so i settled on a 4pks super r, havent gotten it yet but i had to bite..good deal.... on a fluke i saw an ebay ad for a knockoff fasst reciever like the frsky, but this one has c2.... so i googled the brand and found this!!...
http://orangerx.com/tag/surface/ just to kick myself again, c2 is basically hrs mode, correct? |
and knock $10 off that w/ coupon from Tower.
I got 3 for $40 each w/ shipping. ... placed 3 seperate orders w/ the same $10 off coupon for each order! :) |

Well there you go.^ If there is one set of wires all one would have to do is make a switchable y harness from said wires. That may be a stretch for most, but I'd do it if I was in the same circumstance, if not only just to say I was the first to show it CAN be done. Another thing id assume you'd have to do via wiring is to reverse the output polarity aswel from the left hand side. That way you wouldn't need to reverse a channel to correct the steering input direction, unless you just simply set a condition mix you hit as you handed off to the lefty. It's all pretty simple if you ask me. This radio is more than capable to do it to.

Thank you guys for that input... I'm going to pass that on to a more competant member of our team :) and see where we go from here... Thanks again...

Help with Receiver
Hello - I purchased a 4pk super R last week here. I know, there is a separate forum for it but it gets no traffic. This forum has all the Futaba vets.
In any event, it was used 8 months with a receiver. I just noticed the receiver is a 604 receiver. I'm thinking the owner sold me the old receiver and kept the 614. Does this make any difference in speed, etc? I race a Tekno SCT410 and am a beginner. However, I'm trying to buy quality stuff to grow with the hobby. I want to get this setup the right way first. I can always use this the 604 in a future basher. Any advice on buying any other receiver to start with that will bind to the 4pk super R? Is the 614 better? Any advice is much appreciated. J |

The 614 is smaller in size, and it can work with 2 cell lipos. When used with a 4PKS transmitter the signal speed is faster than a 4pk. 614 also has a dedicated battery input, instead of sharing the 4th channel, like the 604 does In the older 3 channel stuff, FS was Futaba code for dual diversity antenna (internal & external) and FF receivers had the single external antenna. |
Thanks. So, If my SCT 410 Tekno's motor/esc is powered by a Lipo battery, it won't work. Keep in mind, you are speaking to someone's who's last setup was a 88 Losi JrX2 with a Futaba Magnum.

Hello, I am looking to buy a radio 4px, and would like a candid feedback on this radio.
* Always used Airtronics, my last radio was an M12. When in doubt between M12s or 4PX. thank you |
