The current limitors tells you how much power is given and how fast. Off is max power. 90 is 90% power during accel, 50 is 50% power.

In terms of leds setting 13 (led7 lit) is off, Setting 10 (led 6 lit is about 90%)

All of them are time based. You will still get to full speed in all cases. It just softens the initial acceleration and immediate wheel spin. 70 to 80 is a typical setting with 4pole motors or mod 1/10 motors.

HotWire on Windows 8.1 tablet

Just happen to pick up a new windows 8.1 tablet this last weekend. I was going to get an android tablet to run the new android hotwire app but I wanted something a little more useful when I was not tuning my esc. The only problem was the Hotwire program, during install, asks for an older version of .net framework. The link below gives you instructions on how to install the required version. The link does not install the older .net framework, it only tells you how to install it your self. After this fix the pc version runs like it should on my new winbook windows 8.1 tablet.

Check this out:

Note that it cannot be ran on Windows RT

Thanks Randy. Your link confirmed I did it right. Thanks for the heads up on Windows RT. My new Winbook runs real Windows 8.1 with a real quad core atom processor, not an ARM processor. I'm not connected to Winbook in any fashion, just trying to let people know if they see one of these inexpensive tablets with a real 2.0 USB port, it will work without having to buy an OTG cable. It just gives people more options. The log function works great as well. I can also use the tablet to plug into my Orion Duo touch and watch whats going on as my batteries charge.

Parallels app for Ipad/Iphone

I notice the new Parallels app for iPhone/ipad. Can I download Hotwire to my iPad/iphone and open with this Parallels app?
If so will I need the new HotWire or can I use the Hotwire 1 and use the adapter?

I was making a hypothetical scenario. I was saying let's say you can install the hotwire app on an iphone or ipad, which I doubt you can. I was then asking how would you connect the hotwire interface to the iphone, which is a usb connection.

He is saying, "OK, even if you can run the app on your iphone/ipad, how will you connect the USB cable? Seeing how the iphone/ipad don't have usb ports..."

I think this will work. http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD818ZM/A/lightning-to-usb-cable?fnode=3a
No it won't. There must be a converter. Help

You would need to find an adapter to a female USB out.

SnotRkt 04-16-2015 01:07 PM

Apple does not support USB devices on iphone/ipad. Tekin Hotwire will not work unless Tekin adds a lightning cable to the Hotwire.

so something like this wont work with the parallels app?

cheap enough to try but i doubt it

Randy_Pike 04-17-2015 09:39 AM

It's more than a cable issue currently. Apple will not and has not shown any indication of allowing host control of exterior devices directly via cable.

We are working on alternative at this time, all I can say.
