That's the temp inside I believe so it will be higher. Once you have a reference though you know where you want to be.

Also you need to clear the logs to get a reading from your latest session.

I use a $0.85 otg cable with the original hotwire with a rs pro on my Oneplus One phone and it works great.

I have never logged over 75 degrees on mine. But that is with the PC. Not sure if that makes a difference?? Running 81/24, dirt oval. Temp gun shows in the 70's have seen 91 once with gun.

Inside temps are generally going to be higher than outside can temps. Understand that the motor heats up from the inside out, not the outside in. The temp sensor is on the motors sensor board so it's very close to center.

Yup pinch/spread works on the app as well. We try to keep with standard "gesture" practices.

Hi Guys, i have a RX8 Gen2 and the black hotwire v1? Do i need the Gen2 hotwire for it to work with the android app? Also with the Gen2 ESC's you can use the fan port for the hotwire right? my hot wire has a female receiver plug coming out of it, where do i get a lead that will go into the fan plug? any links would be appreciated!

YOu can use the HW Gen1 no problem. You will need an OTG cable for your device. The adapter cable for the HW Gen1 came with your Rx8 Gen2 esc. It's looks like a short servo lead.

If you can't find it, you can plug the HW into your servo lead still like the Gen1.

TT3825 is the adapter for the GEN2 ESC port.

What is considered safe then? The rule of thumb most guys go by is under 180 or so is safe from an outside measurement, 200 was the danger zone. What's reasonable to have on the inside?

1/10 motors and 1/8 motors differ slightly temp variance wise but try to keep all under 200-210 data logger temp. At those temps we generally see the 180-190f on the outside. Mind you can feel fade before these temps.

Current limiter question

Can someone give me a quick schooling on how the current limit (1-13)LEDs on the RX8.2 correlates to percent of limit. And is the percent the amount of current the esc holds back or allows to pass on initial throttle?
