I think you should actually read the posts you're commenting on.

You are seeking the impossible! LOL
I still can't roll back my Iview 7" i bought for this app. I am not rich nor poor so the cost doesn't bother me as much and I can wait out untill the new update that fixes the issue comes out.

We 3 Walmart with in a 15 mile triangle. And all 3 have something different inside????

If you need a cable order it from best buy for 6 bucks and it takes 3 days to get. Do not order the cheap ones for 1 or 2 bucks chances are they wont work. Or try Fry's online store.

I'm NOT demanding anything. Simply disappointed to not have Apple compatibility, especially considering Apple handheld devices outsell comparable android devices considerably. This isn't 1995 anymore and Apple is the richest, most profitable company in the history of the world.

Having been a Microsoft/Windows Tech initially and then reluctantly switching over to Apple, there is no way in bloody hell anyone can tell me Windows is more practical in any sense outside it being more widely used over all other OS's, but slowly Apple is eating away at that marketshare.

I LOVE the absurdity of your mocking of the size iPhone screen. So many of you are FULL of YOUKNOWWHAT with that utter nonsense. When the iPhone first came out the masses mocked its size because at the time it was contrary to the trend of making phones smaller and smaller. Ever seen the ridiculous Zoolander scene where they mock the cellphone industry via microscopic cellphones? So when Apple introduced the iPhone it was said to be ridiculously too large and was thought would be a mega flop. Now that other companies are producing miniature television sets, NOW the iPhone is too small. Please, Pick a bandwagon and stay on it.

It seems that no matter what Apple does or how good their products are, people will talk from their hind quarters using uninformed opinions to base their arguments when in fact there is no merit to anything they're trying to pass off as fact.

Ever seen that irresponsibly STUPID Microsoft commercial where the girl says "Macs are known more for their aesthetics than they are for their computing power". Whaaaaat??!?!?!???!? If you know ANYTHING about the subject you'd know how utterly moronic that comment is. BUT, since Microsoft said it, it must be true! [epicfacepalm]

You say Apple products are overpriced and lack the features that you want when you yourself said you've never owned an Apple product. Oxymoron of sort no? You can say you don't like the look or feel of Apple products but I can assure you when it comes to feature Rich, does anyone incorporate more features in their products than Apple? Sure you might not get everything you would like but you will likely get plenty.

Android only came about BECAUSE Apple was destroying its and AT&T competitors with the iPhone and their proprietary OS which innovated the entire industry, so again thank Apple for forcing other companies to rethink how they design and engineer their products.

And just as with everything else, you get what you pay for. Just as with buying a Tekin ESC… there are tons of other ESC's out there that do the job about the same but one cannot compare the quality of components in a Tekin to those found in those other products, hence the heftier price tag on Tekin products. The same goes for Apple products. You pay for QUALITY.

Though the initial inspiration for this thread was you touching a nerve, the real purpose of this post is to perhaps raise an eyebrow or two so people stop accepting nonsense they read and learn about the realities surrounding the subject matter that is Apple.

I've installed about 800 PC's over my career and over 4,500 Macs so I have vast experience with both so I am confident in the knowledge I acquired from having actually worked on every machine you can imagine, dating back 22+ years.

Sorry Randy and Company, Rant over. LOL

Nice. I was goading you a little and I apologize for that. Let me take your points in turn:

Apple is number 15. http://www.forbes.com/global2000/list/ Hyperbole maybe?

Market share? Windows 8 is eating into Macs market share:
http://appleinsider.com/articles/13/...4-market-share
Practical or user-friendly is a matter of opinion. I don't mind Windows 7 compared to OSX when I factor in the cost of the machine.

The iPhone screen is too small to see anything. I don't like it. I watch some movies on my HTC one and love the resolution and detail. That is really the main reason I got Android over iPhone. Proprietary plugs bug me too. I do like the sound quality on the iPhone, but I don't use iTunes, so... yeah.

I use PCs because of software support, excel compatibility and cost. The Mac OS is great, but the machine by Apple that is comparable to my $1500 4.5 GHz i7 is about 3 to 4 grand. I am not rich. Excel really sucks on a Mac. I use excel for just about everything. Every major software and game I want will run on Windows. I really dislike 8, but 7 doesn't bug me too much.

As long as we are propagating stereotypes: Mac users look down on everyone that doesn't use Mac products as uninformed or poor. No one in their right mind that has the money would use anything else, right?

I never saw that commercial, but I agree it is wrong. Macs have plenty of power.

I think I mentioned that I use an iPhone for work, right. There are also Mac desktops at school and work that I have used. I feel that I am pretty competent with the Mac OS. Not an expert like you, but I have used it quite a bit.

Right. Google needed something to compete with the iPhone. Thank you Apple for giving me my HTC One.

Tekin will probably end up supporting the iPhone. Everyone else does. I am just giving you a hard time. I still am not a fan of Apple products and probably never will be. Maybe if the iPhone increases the screen size I will try one, as long as it doesn't cost $500 with a contract because of the "Retina" display.

Data logs only save on the esc for so long. If you clear them, you get fresh ones each run but you must download the file to save them for later viewing. Did you save them on your Pc?

Ok, checked out the OTG cable using my cell phone and a photo app with my camera. Cable works and I'm running a Gen2 esc. I cannot get the little green light on the hardware interface box to come on using the Note 10.1. Works great on the PC and laptop w/W7.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

So you can use a usb stick and say listen to a music file on it?

The photo app isn't much of a test to be honest. We need to see if your tablet is putting out enough power.

Do you have access to a powered USB Hub? Once you plug in the hotwire, it should light up and start working. IF not, try powering on your car.

The app is actually a remote controller for my DSLR that has numerous functions for lens focus, shutter, etc. So I'l say the cable can handle the current.
I'll try to power the car and see if that helps.
Thx,
Hog

I'm sure I know which one you're referring...however if you think about it, your camera must be "on" for it to work ;)

The howtire should light up as soon as it's plugged into your device.

Randy. Seems that the "Curves" tab or "Throttle Profile" is missing from the Android app. Will that eventually make it into a newer revision?

Thanks - Jim

Maybe, there are a lot of things being "developed" right now.

Hi Randy, I didn't see if anyone else has asked this but is there a round about time when the new revision should be out? My samsung s3 just updated itself to the new os...good grief! Thanks!

As I posted before, we're working on quite a few things.

The 4.2+ issue is out of our hands at the moment. Trust me it wasn't a welcomed "blow to the gut" we were hoping for. So far the 4.4 update you can run on the Nexus stuff isn't making it better. We're scouring the development sites for answers and cooberation with other developers for solutions.
