What batteries are you using? I also had some interference with the SR2000 before going with the NiZn batteries. If you are using rechargeable 1.2 volt batteries, big problem.

I've recently switched to nizn batteries but before that i used NiMH in spektrum radios for several year with no issues and I've ran on some huge tracks.

I guess you could set different profiles to run the same car, just switch out things to cater to different tracks...but still 50?

that receiver is minuscule!

That's not entirely true about not having 50 different models. I know of several people here in Denmark that has 50 or even 50+ different models and they are very happy with their DX3R, DX4R and other radios that has room for all their models.

I my self have 21 models that i remember on the top of my head and i'm happy that my Nomadio React has 40 model memory so there's room for those I already have and more if I add to my collection.
I have 5 Traxxas, 4 Xray, 2 LRP, 2 MCD, 4 Compagnucci, 2 Maverick, 1 Hong Nor and 1 Durango model currently in my garage.

My next transmitter will be either the DX3R or DX4R that way I won't have to change too many RX's.

The advantage to the extra models is setting up for different tracks, or changing to a different setup when the track changes, as in dryer/looser. This way you select another vehicle and everything is preset. You can do the settings at the house before you go to the track. What would be better; if you could combine it with the esc as well. Now that would be awesome!

Anyone know if the DX4S trigger can be in stalled on the DX4R? I already took a DX3S apart and the internal configuration for it's trigger is not compatable with the DX4R.

I'm probably better off selling my DX4R and buying a DX4S for my situation but would like to try the DX4R with a trigger I'm used to.

does this radio bind a particular model to a particular receiver, or can you just bind the receiver to the radio and pick whatever model you want? (futaba does this).

I would definitely like to know too, for my DX4S. I currently have the Dynamite aluminum wheel, but it is the same big diameter as factory.

You select what model on the radio you want to use and then bind it to the reciever.

Right. I prefer the Spektrum way of choosing models because only that RX will work with that model you binded with.

For instance, I won't be able to run my m-chassis profile accidentally with my RC truck.

Currently using 3pk with spektrum module in it I think it's sm1000,my rx is a sr1000 and I have a few really small mini rx but don't see any pn on them.does anyone know if my current rx will work with my dx4rpro I have on the way?any info would be great thanks

Cain 03-27-2015 07:28 AM

thanks for the info, remember when I has the DX3S or whatever it was at the time it did that, personally I didn't care for it since I swap receivers at time, just one less thing, but it wasn't a full on deal breaker.

Do the spektrum gear still have issues with certain servos?

Are some receivers still affected by random glitch issues (I remember on the SR3000 for example would glitch more than the SR3500s).

sakadachi 03-27-2015 09:17 AM

I run SR410 on my CC01, CW01, CR01, and WR02. No issue with glitching with my DX4S.

My son runs the SR210 with his DX4C and no glitches either.

I ran in a two day race in Nashville, and no glitches at all, running three classes. My radio still shows 6.6 volts using the NIZN batteries.

Yeah, the NiZn's have now become the new hotness:lol:

My daughter was having some issues in one spot of the track ( far left corner) last weekend and I saw her controller voltage was at 5.2. Funny cause I had the warning buzzer set at 5.2 and it wasn't going off yet. Put new batteries in and everything was fine after that. That night, the wife was on Amazon and I asked her to see if they sold them there as well ( got to love Prime) and sure as poop, 12 batteries and a charger for $24.99. Needless to say, I have 4 sets (4 batteries each) of 2500mAh's and 2 chargers now.... Im good for a while.

Even had a guy with a M11 running them and he says he can tell the difference as well. Hmmmmm, sure.

platgof 03-30-2015 04:20 PM

I am getting spoiled with them. If I see 6 volts on the screen, time for a recharge! Keeping these above 6 volts makes sure there are no glitches.
