Is anyone using this radio on VRC? I can't seem to get the settings right, The steering and throttle are slow to respond

I have noticed that all problems with any glitches are gone since switching to the NIZN batteries. I was using the rechargeable 1.2 volt batteries, and this radio does not like low voltage at all. It really needs a 5th battery added. If you use this do not go under 6 volts. Absolutely do not use 1.2 volt batteries. Okay I changed it.

I ran mine with 1.2 batteries for 2 months and had zero issues. I since switched to the Nizn batteries they work the same. Mine didn't last long though, I had to charge them constantly. Yesterday in a 30 minute nitro buggy main, I started out at 4.4 volts and ended up with 3.3 and still had no issues. I ran back to back mains and didn't have time to charge them. I was sweating bullets waiting for a runaway. Lol. I just ordered some new ones. I was charging mine on nimh or NiCad since I got them, probably why they crapped out so fast. It said on Hobbykings website they could be charged that way.

I saw that also that you could charge them on a nimh program. I bought the charger and batteries(Genix) off ebay and picked up an extra set of batteries, and alternate them out. I still see 7.1 volts after they charge, and can easily race for two weeks before charging. Mine rarely drop below 6 volts. They are the green batteries, and the plug in white charger, no problems whatsoever.

I'll test mine with vrc, but with the 3 pro I had no issues, did you remember to re-calibrate from the windows game controller setting?

Slow response can also be a limit of your pc if this is the first time you are playing vrc, turn on the option for FPS (frame per second) and make sure you are over 30, really 60-200 is best.

Ah so I am at 13-14fps in the game

These radios love the higher voltage batteries. I noticed my range and speed improved dramatically after using the 1.6 volt batteries. If you are running a Savox servo, be sure to use them, unless it is the new brushless version.

anybody having issues with the antenna pulling off the board on the SR2000 receiver as mine did and wasnt pulled that i know of and just sits in a TC.I tryed soldering it but still has a range issue.
Its strange how they have done back to soldering the antenna directly onto the board as the origional receivers were like and I had issues once with the antenna coming off one of these but the 3100 etc has a plug in antenna which is much more reliable.
also the push in antenna tube always needs pushing back in so whether this made the antenna come off I am not sure...frustrating.

I use a little drop of shoe goo to hold the tube in place

Yes I had 1 come off of mine. I put the little fold over on the top of the tube. May have been why it came off. I don't even put the tube in the case now. Luckily it was under warranty and I got a new 1.

That's exactly what I did. It seems to have worked pretty well so far. Just make sure to inspect it and reapply if needed.

Interesting as thats how i had mine and wonder if with the tube keeps falling out it caused it to pull off the board and only thing i can think of as it never got a hard pull.

platgof 08-24-2014 03:02 PM

I guess it would be best not to use the tube and shoe goo where the antennae comes out. I am having no problems whatsoever since going to a brushless servo and the 1.6 batteries. The radio is working great, and it is so quick.

Anyone try Sanyo Eneloops on this transmitter? Not getting very good reviews...

I tried them they didnt seem 2 b any better or last any longer than the others. I am using the nizn 1.6 and I like the high voltage better.
