For some reason I thought they were glitching. I really don't know if something else was causing the problem, but for now all is good. I also think the Mamba Max Pro was acting up and causing issues for everything I put it in. It is now in the DESC210R with a 17.5 tekin motor, and behaving.

Auto Centering

Does anyone know how to set these up to auto center the front wheels? I heard there is a you tube video that shows how to do it. Has anyone tried the SRS 4210 AVC rx? Does this work on the race track as some claim?

Hi, I just finish reading all post!
Questions:
What is the difference between Orange-Blue-"TargetHobby" Receivers??
How much low (voltaje) do you go with NiZn batteries?

Thanks for your replies, just want to confirm perfect binding with "target" receivers to change my 3R Pro.

platgof 07-03-2014 07:48 PM

My NIZN batteries charge to around 7 volts, and I recharge at 6 volts. I feel spoiled now. I now race with the SR2000 rx's. I was using the Blues, and they binded just fine. Plus I can get 10 of them for $100.

Just got my DX4R Pro and have been LOVIN IT ! Coming from a DX3S that I have had since it was released and IMO everything about the DX4R Pro is better ! Next I am getting the NiZn batteries and then I will be set !

I really think Spektrum upped their game with this radio ...... Definitely has the best feel in your hands IMO .

Cant believe that Spektrum has not filed an injunction against these knockoffs. Massive Trademark infringement.

platgof 07-04-2014 05:18 PM

They are not knock offs, there generics. At least the Blues don't use the Spektrum name, just the number.

I need a radio case for the DX4R Pro. I don't have room for a factory Spektrum aluminum case in my pit box and am looking for something smaller that fits inside the box. I have seen the soft sided zippered cases but not for this radio.

Anyone have the measurements for the JConcepts case? I can't find anything online?

Any help is appreciated.

I have a couple of atomik radio bags, but I do *not* have the drop wheel on my dx4r.

They are ok, not great, one zipper broke already. Find myself putting the radio lose in my pit tool box instead.

Just get a hard case for it and make the extra trip to the car. If you don't want to spend the extra money you can get a hand gun case from a local sporting goods store for about 20 bucks. I don't see a soft radio case/bag doing more than keeping the dust out.

Your radio will thank you in the long run.

Which is 99% of its job. The only thing a hard case is needed for is if some monkey is throwing your radio around. For travel, packing the radio in a soft case and then in a bigger "hauler bag" works fine. If your luggage is getting slammed around that much it's likely you'll get something else damaged too and you'll be filing a claim and seeing it on tv as a blooper. I wouldn't check a hard case radio as a seperate myself. More likely to be damaged imo and a fancy case screams "steal me". Something to try is to get a secure but super basic old ugly piece of hard side luggage and just make your own insert, holds whatever you want and looks unworthy of stealing too.

I'm the "monkey" he didn't say he was looking for airplane travel.

At the end of the race day 2 things get special care, my cars and radio. The rest goes in my totes (don't use a hauler bag). Easier just to use a radio box than to make sure everything is packed so things won't damage my radio if it's in the tote..

IF it's going in a hauler bag and dust is the 99%, then why even use a radio bag? Isn't the hauler bag clean enough?

I just feel better with my radio in a box vs. bag

platgof 07-07-2014 02:33 PM

Mine goes in a bag so I can make one trip. I put it in a soft lunch box, and then in the tool box.

ShowMeTJ 07-07-2014 05:04 PM

Thanks for the input guys. After a couple phone calls I got measurements on the JConcepts case and I think it will just fit. I already make to many trips to the car and this should mean I will be down to one tote and a tool box for 3 cars.
