Only know of these so far:
http://www.area52.cc/news/4675-team-...er-sheets.html I did not have troubles outside, except for an astro track where there are some aluminium parts at the beginning of the jump... seemed to not react for a split second. The actual issues started inside with lots of radio noise (other tx's) and after being there for some time, or starting with batteries that where not fully charged... |
Hate if you want, it's your internet right:lol:
I've used a Dx3.0, then a DX3R since they first came out, and now the 4R..no problems with any of them, ever. It's good to be "lucky" I guess.:D |
I don't want to spoil it for anybody else here... I won't post anything in this thread anymore since I haven't got the TX anymore ;) - hope you are and stay luckier than i was with it :)

^^^ my post wasn't directed specifically to you, more of a general comment to all the haters, sorry it came off that way.
I even run a craptastic Savox servo in Mod buggy, w/a 3R and 3100 rx, with NO receiver cap..all without issue. And I'm far from the only one doing so at my track without issues. We must ALL be lucky because if you go by the internet every Spektrum radio on the planet has brown out problems. Just my experience and opinion on Spektrum, nothing more nothing less.:tire: |
I have a DX3S and had all kinds of glitching problems, and if a Sky radio showed up, it was over for the night. I am not having glitching problems at all with the DX4R, I am having problems with the SR2000 rx shutting down at 5 volts. The tires started twitching, and I thought it was the sensor wire. Then in the race it was very irratic with the control, all over the place. I replaced the rx with a sr300 and problem was totally over. I am upset that I bought this thinking the SR2000 rx was the hot ticket, and it is the problem. I think Spektrum should replace my SR2000 rx with two 410's.

Horizon is sending me a new SR2000 as I have had it less than 2 weeks. I will deliberately run the radio down to less than 5 volts, to see if this one also shuts down as well. I really hope it is just a bad rx? This explains why I was having so many problems with the car, erratic.

From reading these post, I feel extremely lucky with all of my Spetkrum products. I've had to change a few RX cases and antennas but thats it. No failures no issues. Ive started with the Dx2 and have had awesome success with all the products since.

You mean when you Goggled "a buddy of mine gave me this one" it didn't give you all that info? Me either:lol:

I would like to thank Horizon Hobby for great product support. I recieved a new RX and it works great!! I ran the radio down to 4.9 volts, and took it to 300 feet, and absolutely no problems at all. If you have a problem, call customer service. I am still trying to get the hang of left handed after racing cross handed.

Wheels
1 Attachment(s)
Just wanted to let you guys know about the wheel I made, I have always liked the smaller wheel on the radio and made this one up. It started out from the original dx3r wheel and I trimmed it up a bit, cut down the thinner dx3r pro foam to fit and topped it off with a disc I made from the 2 piece JC Inverse B4 wheels. Little bit of dremel work to get everything to go together the way I wanted it but turned out great.
