Anyone know where to buy and OTG cable for the Hotwire. Someplace local where one need not be ordered. Im looking for female usb to micro usb. To be used with Samsung Galaxy S5. I also wondered if they made a micro usb to mini usb both male for a direct connect. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

i checked there briefly and upon asking was informed they did not carry them. Maybe i should do a bit more in store browsing. Were they with the cellular phone or the computers, or even elsewhere?

Thanks Randy, its not that I'm an impatient dude haha, just like to pick things up in person if available but ordering is looking like a good option. Thanks for the suggestion.

No worries, I just have yet to find that cable anywhere in stock to walk in and walk out with it.

If your'e a Prime member, you can get it in a day.

Got mine on eBay. Ordered two and he sent two extras. I think it was like $6. Gave the other two to a couple of my friends with tekins.

i was racing my b5m when i hit a hard bump. there was a loud sound out of my motor and then then my rsx went into error mode 1,2,6,7. i switched out the motor and still the error msg occurred. i soldered the teeing gen 2 motor to my backup hobby wing esc and the motor worked fine. So I think the problem is in the rsx. but how come it switched to this error after a hard bump? I'm thinking of sending it back for repair but is there anything i need to check before i do that?

Something may have shorted out on the hard hit. Take a long hard look at your motors solder tabs, wiring, etc. If any of the A B C wires short together, it can cause this.

I've seen motor wires so close that a small nudge of the tabs caused a short.

i cleaned and desoldered and re soldered everything and wired up the motor and then tested but still got the 1267 error message. very frustrating. if i send it back to tekin, how much will it cost to repair?

Make sure your esc settings are correct also. It's never a bad idea to perform a factory reset on the unit to clear out bad settings. This is done by powering up the esc, holding down both buttons at the same time for 5 seconds.

If the code is still there, it will need service assuming the motor and A B C wiring is know to be good.

At what temp on the ESC should you start to consider using a fan/going down a tooth in gears?

What are you running the speedo in and how many lights are being shown after a race heat? So far I have yet to use my fan in my 4wd and I have a pretty heavy finger.

Can't remember lights - 3 maybe 4. With Temp gun it was 155F and it is in a 4wd buggy.

If you start seeing led 6 and 7 lit up, grab a fan.

If you're coming off the track and it shows 4 led's after a full run, you're good.

You can use the data logger to verify your esc heat at the end, just make sure you clear the run before you test, so you're getting the latest data.
