Actually we have BlueTooth for Android and IOS for on the fly fast tuning. We also have PC windows for more detail looking at data logs, and saving setups and data logs.

We also have the highest Power Outputs of any esc's on the market. The RSpro is second to non in 1/10 scale and the RSX is as good as any and better than most. The Rx8 is also the top of the class in 1/8 scale.

Drivability is a personal thing but considering we invented most of the features many others have added like Boost and Turbo, and all the other unique features like Torque limiters, RPM brakes, Frequency, and Active Drag most are able to find a setup that fits their driving style. Now we even have some new features specicially for Drag racing that may find there way into track racings as well.

I have a older RSX, i was looking to buy a new RSX Pro and noticed there is some stock around place now.

Problem is old RSX has stopped powering up, have removed disconnected everything.
It powers up through hotwire and can reset and update the ESC. But when connect battery nothing.
(it was working fine, powered off and it never powered back up)

Removed motor wires
Removed Sensor wire
Removed and resoldered battery connection
Removed switch and soldered wire together incase switch was faulty.

I have opened it up and found it pretty dirty inside, dirt must have entered through fan port.
USed electrical cleaner and toothbrush but still no power up.

Could be a problem with the switch?

RSX question. While checking my settings in the esc. Some how I have lost all drag brake. It was there before I started checking everything. I've tried all different kind of settings and still no drag brake. Just want some input before I send it in. Thanks

Maybe try a full factory reset and then reinstall the lastest firmware.

Ok thank you. I don't know why I didn't think about that.

Is anyone running this in stock 2wd buggy? I feel like my RS Gen 2 does not have enough braking power even with tuning.

Stock motors do not have great brakes in general and seem weak on super high bite. Our RSPro that is specifically made for Spec racing does have lower resistance that technically should help a bit, but some other things to look at first.

Radio calibrated and seeing all the leds flash when pushing full brake?
What brake freq are you using?
Are you using any Active Brake? The first 3 steps of active brake are good for Spec ( no timing) racing.
What motor is this?
Where are you geared? Tall gearing makes brakes weaker.
Have you checked the rotor? A weak rotor can cause soft brakes.

Can someone shed light on why my esc is cutting out at WOT. Running a 4.5 turn with 10-15 degrees timing in a touring car with 8.1 fdr and a 8000 mah battery.

2-3 minutes into a heat I lose all throttle and brake primarily when the esc is is at wide open throttle. I’ll lose all braking power as well and the esc resets it self( does the start up sounds) until it’s under high load again.

everytime this happened the esc and motor were between 120-135 degrees. The low voltage cut off is off, temp cutoff is off , throttle limiter is at level 5

i can’t see the 4.5 being to much considering tekin sells a 4.5 as a combo…

RSX should handle a 4.5 turn motor with a proper setup and a good battery. First step is to look at a data log and see if there is anything obvious like large voltage drops. If you have the voltage cutoff completely off it could just be pulling the voltage too low and resetting the unit. Could also have a weak cell in your battery that is dropping out.

Now that V280 is the only Hotwire that can be down loaded and has done away with some ESC features track racers have used in previous versions e.g., TORQUE LEVEL, would you provide examples of how the new drag racing features have been used in non drag racing formats - specifically Launch Boost and how its being used in 2WD buggy applications for example on low traction loose dirt tracks where one doesn’t necessarily want a hyper aggressive throttle response.

V276 is still available. You have the option in your esc set-up between what version you want to use.

Is there an issue with being able to datalog current draw in the latest firmware or is this misinformation?

We do not have the ability to measure current draw. We did add some new features to the data logs however this is perhaps more useful. You can now see Battery voltage ripple which can show you bad setups and batteries. We also added the actual power to the motor ( PWM) so in drag setups you can see where the power is being added when using long Power Delays during the run with our settings or radio programming like most are doing to go fast consistently.
