That's great you're liking the new mPTX and mPTX Pro 'hybrid' type transponders! :)

I found out when I got mine that the new mPTX has slightly smaller dimensions across the mounting holes.

adrictan 11-19-2015 09:19 AM

What's the exact difference between a PTX(NS) & a mPTX?

Terry_S 11-20-2015 03:23 PM

The mounting holes are closer together, it makes it easier to fit in tight spaces, two of the tabs match the normal hole spacing. There is the option to use a clip-in base when the standard hole spacing is required.

The main differences are the new mPTX transponders have the latest electronics with contactless setup and are a smaller size, lighter weight, as with the PTX (NS) they have a replaceable lead and now also an easy replaceable case. We now have the mPTX Pro with a stealth 'pro' black lead to satisfy the serious racers :)

The PTX (NS) and the new mPTX / mPTX Pro are compatible with all systems.

Will there be an offer for trade in offer for PTX(NS) to mPTX?

CaseyBecica 11-20-2015 08:07 PM

so this well work with all scoring systems at the track. and where can i buy them.

Terry_S 11-21-2015 02:37 AM

Hi Adric, the trade in upgrade offer is for the old PTX to the PTX (NS), we don't have it for the new mPTX transponders.

Hi Casey, the PTX (NS) and new mPTX transponders are compatible with all scoring systems at the track; AMBrc systems and the new RC4 system.
I sent you a message about where you can buy them :)
