It appears MyLaps is at it again with their latest 4.5 firmware. I noticed my MRT is still working but some laps go uncounted.

Do you have an update in the works?

Do you know if your particular track has update?

I was just at mine on Thursday and they still run the 4.4. Every lap has worked for me. I am on a one of the older models that was sent out to be converted over. Yours might be an issue with the transponder itself and/or the sensor loop?

Would love to know if MRT is working on a solution to the new 4.5 software update.

At my track, its not just MRTs.. many that have the older versions of MyLaps are having issues as well.

I have 4 MRT in total.. 2 NS and 2 of the current ones..

If they've blocked your transponder in the firmware, it wouldn't count any laps at all. Either your transponder isn't mounted in a good location or the tracks decoder sensitivity is having issues.

That's not how it happened the first time around. Several years ago, when MyLaps released firmware to block the original MRT transponders, we could always get at least a couple of laps to count, but the result was so sporadic that the transponders were rendered useless. This was true with many different transponders on our track's decoder.

But maybe this time around is different. It should be much easier to ignore an old protocol than to decide which transponders using the same protocol are somehow different!

The updated MRTs are RC4 compatible.. so the update they are doing is trying to isolate the difference in the signals frequency, if there is even one..

Again its not just my car, its happening to multiple people, even those with MyLaps and some with RC4.

I'm not chasing 2 threads on this issue, use the other/newer one please.
