I'm currently happy with both my Tekin Rx8's and they have been running perfectly for the last couple of months so I probably won't be upgrading anytime soon. Just wondering what happens down the road if say I do blow one *knock on wood* and I send it in. Is Tekin going to repair it to Gen1 specs or to Gen 2 specs?

While 12 gauge wire is included, Tekin has yet to include a sensor cable with the esc as they pack them with the motors. I would assume this holds true for the rx8 gen2.

The sensors and harness allow for perfect motor drive at any and all speeds. This is beneficial for throttle control, feel and performance.

Is the BEC going to drop voltage down from 8.4v to the have a constant output of 7.4v? |

Of course there can be spikes that go lower under severe loads. In testing we've had no issues with brown outs running HV servos from various manufacturers on the Rx8 gen2 with multiple brand receivers and radio systems. |

That's a pretty board question to answer simply because it depends on the servos, how many, etc.

So I've never owned a Tekin ESC, but I just placed my pre-order for the Gen2. Is there anything else I need / should purchase, besides the hotwire? I already have a sensor wire...lol (silly comments about it not being included imo since no ESC comes with one...)
Also, where's the best deal on the hotwire? |
Hey Randy, question about the EZ Access hotwire port. Will I need the hotwire adapter that's listed on Tower under optional parts for the gen2... if not what is that for? Can you just clarify how the hotwire access port works?
