Im really eager to buy the protek 150t servo, but they are out of stock. I have read they are working on things but doeas anybody know when they might be available again.
|
I am looking to get these servo's 150s and 150t but as I am in OZ have the problems with these been fix ?
I do like Protek gear but it is a long way if I have to send them back ?;) |
Well have two on the way, so hope they work as good as they look:nod:
|
Progress report:
I have been running the replacement 150s for a while now with no problems. I have also convinced a few other racers to try them and they are also running them with no issues. The 250t was very good just didnt seem to have the speed of the 150s but very close. Several people that drove my car with the 250t commented on how fast the servo was....lol I am very happy with the service Amain delivered. I plan to run Protek servos in all my cars as that servo is just Dead Sexy.....:D Michael |
Well the two servo's have arrived and they look good  will find out this weekend how they work ?
|
So tell us more about the 'Chad Bradley Team Edition' line of servos...
|
Well ran these servo's this weekend and must say that all went good  was very pleased with them . The steering servo is a little fast for me as I am new to this but time will sort that.
Thanks to A Main for the fast service David |
100t (216oz) enough for the steering in a nitro buggy?
|
i was using the 100T on nitro truggy steering for a while and was fine. later changed to 350T and using the 100T for throttle now and its still good. im still a bit of a noob though, and was told to use higher torque than the 100T for steering and throttle

On the ProTek note, I am planning on switching both my 1/8 scales to these servos as I am planning on finally getting with the times and running LiPo RX's packs. I have herd nothing but good things about these servos ( after the initial issues they were having, ehich wasnt many) so Im eager to give them a try:cool: |
My 150s and 150t went back to amain due to failure. The new chad Bradley servos do look sweet. I believe they have ironed out all their early problems.

Having said that, the proteks look like a lot of bang for the buck, and I would certainly run one before running one of their price competitors like savox. The only time I have seen a servo with the shakes, was one that was on it's way out, that eventually popped. I wouldn't want to run a servo that had any kind of strange behavior like that. Why risk a DNF? Some of us spend a lot of time and money and effort placing in larger races, so it's important to absolutely minimize the chances of a DNF and product choice is part of that. |
Anyone running the 100S in a 1/10 buggy? The price and specs are right in line for what I am looking for.
Also how are these things on running 6V will I need a BED like savox servos require?? |
my only thing with those are that they are cored. And if your looking to buy that servo, I would just get a solar d770.
|
I've been running a 100t for about 6 months in my stadium truck now. The servo has held up pretty good. Only thing is that it has gotten louder and for some reason the wheels are really hard to turn when the car is off, like the servo is locked up or something. But when I turn the car back on the servo works fine. I figure "eh just run it". Still think it's a good servo for the price
