So everyone can have a better idea of how come we are out of packs this order was placed on February 27th and we're hopefully getting it by the end of next week.

The 3S-6500 only became available in early March so we needed to see how well they would sell before we ordered some more. Our goal is to have fresh packs and also not be stuck with models that don't sell well which would hurt our ability to buy more of the popular models.

I believe the 6500-60C-3S and 4S will be in soon after this next shipment.

ok. Thanks Danny. I'm ready to buy 8 of them!!!:D

If you think the SMC packs have tight bullets I have some old EAM 1cells to sell you, they are ~ 3.88mm. We can't expect f1 engine precision and tolerances from inexpensive chinese goods. Or expensive Chinese goods for that matter.
Keep up the good work danny.

I expect these to sell out fast so if you have the funds you may want to pre-order to make sure you get them. If at anytime you want to cancel your pre-order you can email me and I will cancel it and refund your payment.

Typically when a shipment comes in we take the first couple of days to fill out pre-orders and then add what is left as far as packs to the site.

Excellent news. Thank you for the update, can't wait for my order to come!

I'm thinking of offering our 7200-2S pack and 4S pack with 10AWG wires and EC5 5mm connectors and have shorter wire length as this would decrease the resistance and allow you to replace the connectors if they wear out.

Please give me your feedback on a pack built like this and if it's something you would buy ? I don't want to offer this style pack unless it would be accepted by the racers.

I wouldn't mind seeing the current 6500 60c's with 12awg wire instead of the 10

Actually we will go to 10AWG on all models here shortly. Most customers prefer bigger wires as this lowers resistance.

Yes please. 10awg and EC5 (solid bullets of course). Looks like you found a supplier for the EC5's

Yes we now offer EC5 , XT60 and low profile 4mm connectors.

As far as theory goes using 10AWG wires with EC5 would result in lower resistance so if racers want to buy packs built like this we will offer them.

Danny,

When cycling cells on a gfx, what settings are you using...

Thank you

Danny/SMC 05-10-2013 08:48 PM

I like to make sure the pack is balanced so I balance charge it then discharge it on the GFX at 35 amps down to 3v per cell. Let it cool down 2 hours or more and then set it on the GFX for a cycle. I use 12 amps for charge and 4.20v per cell. Discharge at 35amps down to 3v per cell.

On inboard packs I clip the voltage sensing leads on the 4mm male connectors. On wired packs I tap into the balance connector with a male Xh adapter.

Glad to hear you like this pack. IR and voltage curve is very good for a shorty so I expect stock racers will really like this pack.
