For Serpent 811-be 2.0 "cobra"

Just got my new serpent 811-be 2.0 "cobra" e buggy, what Mah would be the best for this vehicle as it runs two 2s batteries? The 7200 or 6500, or ???

Please give me your feedback on a pack built like this and if it's something you would buy ? I don't want to offer this style pack unless it would be accepted by the racers.

Danny, I use EC5s on my 4S packs (and 3S) exactly as you are planning to offer.

But you sell such good quality batteries  that the ones I have now are likely to last me at least the rest of this year, so I won't be in the market for any more right now.:sneaky:

I probably wouldn't see much improvement since I'm running 12ga from the motor to the ESC as thats what you get with Tekin's RX-8. Now If I get one of the new RX-8 Gen2's and a new lightened Tekin T8i motor I'd probably do it all in 10ga and be more apt to go with 10ga pack wiring.

I raced my Associated T4.1 for the first time last night with my new Castle Creations Sidewinder 3800kv 4-pole motor and new SMC 5600mah 70c pack. All I got to say is plenty of punch and amazing speed down the back straightaway, I can for sure tell the difference over my other brand packs. Danny and everyone at SMC you now have a customer for life, keep doing what your doing!

Raced the 4600 shorty today , it was very good. No lack in punch , and impressive numbers expecially for a shorty.

I would like to get a price on some batterys. I have a sc10 4x4 with a 4.5 novic ballistic systems. the esc say 2s 7.4 volts battery. now i was told too check out your 7200 70c lipos but your site dont work. i also might being going saddle pack two so then i guess that would make it two 1s battery at 3.7 volts wired. i use dean on my cars for now. this is going to be my first lipo for 2wd and 4x4. i coming from a nhim sticks lol. but it dont have the juice to push the 4x4 no more than 4 minutes. So after trying a lipo pack this last race im convinced to buy one or some if price is right. i still have to get a charger yet but i think im gonna do that next week. so if you can shoot me a pm or post here what might be good or what you know fits in the ae 4x4 and 2wd sct truck would be what i want. i do not want to make them fit by cutting stuff. Thanks rob

Even if you use 12AWG in the rest of your system the resistance would be lowered on the battery end if we use 10AWG.

Glad to hear you enjoy this pack. I think it;s one of the best deals around and sales are proving this as they are hard to keep in stock.

Yes the factory did a great job on this model and it was worth the delay as on the ESR meter the IR is similar to the 6500 full size pack.

I can't speak for the 7200 mah packs, but the 6500 60c packs fit in my sc10 4x4 perfectly

Site is back up I had to do some work on it.

For the 4x4 you need our 5600-70C saddle pack.

In your 2wd short course I would go with the 5600-70C or the 6500-60C for the price these packs offer good performance especially if your running mod in your sct. If your looking for the pack with maximum power than the 7200-70C should be your choice.

If you want to run Deans order packs with wires and Dean connector. For the saddle pack it comes with a 4mm to Deans adapter.

Unfortunately you will notice that most packs are out of stock. We have shipments due in the next 6 to 13 days. You can always use your saddle pack in your 4wd and sct until you can pick up a regular pack.

Hope this answers your questions.

ok so the saddle pack that say 2s 7.4volts is what i want . and for mah im not sure what i need one track runs 5 minutes the other 8 i think. the 4x4 is the one that need the juice the 2wd seem fine on the nhim 4600 mah gonna check your site thanks. and im thinking im gonna have to do bullet to dean it seem to be better with the bullet in the battery or does it not matter.

I understand that any decrease in resistance is going to lead to better current flow. I'm just saying that it wouldn't be as beneficial as if I have the whole system wired in 10 gauge.

For a charger you should get one that can charge up to 10 to 15 amps. This way you can charge at 2C.
