It seems that if you have a direct issue with an SMC order that it would be best to contact them directly to handle the matter, not publicly on a forum.

I was just seeing if anyone else had issues lately.. Plus I couldn't call earlier because I was working. I just called and it did ship even though it says pending on their web site  Which is weird but everything is good now.

Well, that's good to hear!

It says pending still.. It has said pending for 6 days and the money came out of my bank on the first or second day. And it still says pending today.. And the battery I ordered still says in stock so taking this long to ship is rediculous especially since I paid extra for faster shipping :flaming:

I just replied to your PM. You can always email or call before you start these types of posts.

Your order was placed on the 7th and shipped on the 8th. Also we ship USPS via Paypal as I posted on this thread last week. This means you should of got an email from Paypal with tracking info at the email address you have listed with Paypal.

In your PM you mentioned you paid extra for faster shipping but you actually paid for USPS small flat rate priority which is our standard shipping for 1 or 2 of the 2S packs. This costs 6.00 so it's far from paying extra for faster shipping. The other option is UPS ground at 12.00 dollars for 2 packs.

If you needed faster shipping than USPS 2-3 day Priority we have the following message in the shopping cart page.

Shipping Info:

For one or two 2S packs you have the option to use USPS small flat rate priority shipping or UPS. For 3 packs or more UPS Ground is the only option. For those who require faster shipping please contact us for pricing and options.

By the way the USPS tracking shows it was delivered today.

But I noticed the plugs are .003" narrower than any other inboard pack I have. This makes plugging in my ESC nearly impossible. The only plugs that work well are bird cages (which are horrible connectors). So why the unusual size?

I don't want this to come across wrong but why would our inboard 4mm female tubes be .003 tighter. Maybe the packs you currently have are the ones that are 0.003 to big. We have been selling inboard packs for 5 years now and have always used the same 4mm female tubes and we never really had any complaints plus I can list allot of companies selling these packs so it's not like we're the only ones selling these.

It's better to have a nice tight connection than one that will be a bit loose.

If you want I can mail you a pair of the ones we have available now and you can see if they fit well in our packs and your other packs. Or you can switch to all SMC packs.:)

It was my first time using smc.. And I didn't get any notifications that it shipped. And usually priority is more than standard shipping on most sites I use. Sorry for all the confusion. Now I feel like an idiot.

4mm=.157" your bullets measure .154" my other packs are .157" don't sweat it, I drilled them out w/ #22 bit.

I just measured our 4mm female tubes in a pack I have here at home and it's 3.93mm. I happen to have other packs from other suppliers and some some of these are as high as 4.06mm so I guess this is just typical tolerances. We have always used the same female tubes and I think it's better to have a tight fit than a loose fit as this will result in a better connection. That being said if you can't put the 4mm male in then this is an issue.

I just tried a new 4mm male with low profile that has 4.33mm before I ever plugged it into a pack. It went in tight but it can still be plugged and unplugged.

I assume there must be different tolerances for the male connectors as well.

Yes, SMC tubes are tighter than all other I've tried (haven't tried the others selling the same packs as you).

Most bullets are tighter in your packs than others. So much so that it is difficult to get say duratrax connectors out. Reedy is the closest fit I've used, nano tech the farthest variance.

Your bullets are a hair tighter in your pack than the Reedy but still fine in the Reedy, no different wire or connector temps between the two and my 2s Mugen works them hard.

Well at least we measured the same :) It's too bad there isn't a tighter tolerance. I just wasn't comfortable forcing the male plug in/out of the pack. At .157" it's still a very good fit.

Danny/SMC 05-10-2013 01:51 PM

There is no true specs for mAh and C rate so I doubt we can make sure all 4mm male connectors are the same size. To me this has to be tolerance differences. We do want ours to be on the tighter side. Maybe the 4mm males you have are a bit on the big side and still plug into your other packs but not in ours.

You could be right, I'll check to see if mine are bigger than yours at .159"

End of next week we will get some 5000-40C-2S with Deans , Traxxas and inboard.

6500-2S with Deans , Traxxas and inboard.

Early the following week we will have some 7200-70C inboard , 5600-70C inboard and 4600-70C shorty.

Supply should get better in the coming weeks and if we run out it won't be for very long periods of time.

Doing all we can to adapt to the high demand on our packs.
