Looks much better than your previous pic with Protek packs. ;)

Keep us posted on your progress.

Woo Hoo...got ship notification on my 4S Lipo. Thanks SMC

We got 15 orders done today and we will finish the balance on Monday. Sorry if we couldn't get to your pre-order or order today. UPS doesn't show early enough and unpacking takes time.

Sorry I missed the connector section, I was looking at the links on the left and missed the link at the top, stupid phones. How big are the bullets in the XT60 connector? I was thinking the castle connectors would be a little on the big side also. I haven't had any problems with the traxxas connectors, for this project I'm looking for something better as I will be gearing higher later. But I only run this thing for about 3-4 passes in a day max. Probably won't ever get hot anyway.

I will! I'm removing the weights I had under the drive shaft now with no other changes just to see what happens. The new batteries are heavier but have double the capacity so it should be interesting to see the results.

This is one of my charging setups Hyperion 720i super duo3 on 24v 47amp power supply.. I also run a Hyperion 615i duo3 on another 12v 35amp power supply so I can do 4 batteries at a time on the mornings before track days. Rediculous? I'd have to agree.

The 1st charge is going great @6.5amps each, all cells are staying tightly balanced to each other. I really like the wiring thats been done to these packs. I noticed each of the balance wires have shrink wrap where they exit the case. Flawless instalation of the traxxas connector with clear shrink wrap around the power wires exiting the pack. Really nice quality wires too!

Is there a significant difference in performance when charging between 1c or 2c? I primarily run 17.5 blinky 2wd buggy and usually charge at 1c. Just wondering, thanks!

XT60 low resistance connector? These use 4mm bullets?

Esser 07-14-2013 07:59 PM

Just tried to order another inboard 5600mah 7.4 70C battery cause i have a couple and they are the perfect size for my buggies, but as of yesterday i could no longer find them on the site? could i possibly order a couple from you? or do you no longer have them?

Thanks

If you charge at higher rates the cells will get a bit warmer thus have lower resistance. You will only notice this if you can run the pack as soon as it's off the charger. If it sits for awhile after the charge the cells will cool down and you won't notice any benefits.

I think XT60 use 3.5mm connectors.

The SMC lipos performed flawlessly today at 97.6mph on my first run. 2nd run I had a crash at 80+ check it out. The glue on one of the xo-1 rear tires let go.
