How much motor timing have you set? if you back of the motor timing does it still have the problem?

The D3.5 is set on 10* and the KillShot on the standard 40*. I took some boost of the esc and some turbo. I took the protection off as well as the torque timing and still the same problem. Put the X20 back and it runs fine

40' sounds a bit extreme with boost added :weird:
I had a similar issues with a non LRP mod motor running boost, I changed the motor's sensor board and it went away. |

Thanks to added endbell timing on the D3.5, id guess those are actually pretty close, and reasonable, killshots run 55-60* for blinky.

I run my X20 with the 32.5* insert and even tried it with 35* insert and it was fine

Can it be sensor boards on two motors. The d3.5 ran perfect a week ago on a friends HW, and the KillShot on a SP esc.

Thanks. I will give it a try and let you know. ....but if the turbo/boost works on the X20, will that not be good enough for the other motors?
|
It should be close, but each motor is different so they may require slightly different settings. Maybe try moving the motor timing to extremes as well and see if there is any difference

more punch for blinky?
I had assumed that the Flow Works Team was the "better" ESC even for 17.5 sedan blinky, now I am wondering. I just read that the Flow Comp has more punch in blinky than the Works Team due to having fewer FETs on the board. Does someone who knows more about electronics than I do confirm if this could make sense?
Also, coming from a Viper VTX10rBE that had a large range of throttle PWM frequencies, I am wondering if anyone knows what the throttle PWM freq. is for either Comp or Works Team? I know they are not adjustable but every ESC has a frequency it operates at. |
I had a Flow Comp for a little while, it didnt really feel any different than the Works Team in 17.5 TC to me. Also keep in mind, even if there was a small feeling difference, the works team would likely be faster over a run due to better efficiency from the extra fets.
When I ran mini z for a while where changing the brand and number of fets is fairly common, the brand of fet and the way they switch was a much larger factor in the "punch" of a car than double stacking the same kind of fet in my experience. I would also say in my experience, a lot of times something that feels more "punchy" is not as fast than something that is smoother but more efficient.. |
Looking to confirm, for those of you who are running the v3.3 software, do you recieve a initial beeping noise when you are just barely squeezing the throttle? I don't remember ever hearing a noise before installing the v3.3 software (but I only ran it for a couple days before having the new software). I'm running a Reedy Mach 2 8.5.
If someone could please confirm. Thx! |

I think a more correct description should be "any 540 sensored motor will work with the Flow Works team."

Hi guys. Looks like I sorted my speedo issues with D3.5 and KillShot. I restored the esc to V1.4 and reloaded V5.0. All seems to be working fine. Will check this weekend and give some feedback.
Has anyone got a good base setting for the KillShot in 17.5 boosted. My X20 melted on the inside so it is a bit sick at this stage |
Hi,
I run a flow works and was wondering if I would notice any difference if I ran the comp in my wet car? I run a 13.5 x20 Thanks |
Need some good advice from you guys, about a good base setup for a 17.5 boosted setup.
I have just purchased a LRP flow works team esc, and will run it with a Hobbywing V10 17.5T. Is the some standard profiles loaded into the esc from the factory, or shall I create my own setup ? If yes to making my own, could you guys then surgest a good base setup, so I don't burn my esc and motor from the beginning. Thanks in advance. |
