It appears that the new micro receiver uses the same molded case as the telemetry add-on unit, so I am sure people will mistake the new RX for the telemetry TX module. If you notice on the pictures I took, there is an antenna wire coming out of the top right corner of the case that is not on the telemetry module in the picture of the touring car.
In place of the button on the receiver for binding, there is a special "jumper" plug that comes with the receiver that is a Futaba J plug with a wire that runs from the white to the black lead. You have to plug the jumper into your 3rd channel while binding the receiver.

that makes complete sense!!!
Why have a button on top for something that you're only (supposed to be) doing once (or once in a great while). . .the jumper idea is great!! Especially if they provide it, although it should be NOTHING to make. . .
thanks!

I thought it was an awesome idea too, because not only should you never have to bind the receiver once it is done correctly, but also you don't have to worry about somebody or something accidentally pressing the button.

I like the button, because I swap between my buggy, truck, and tourer, from week to week, and sometimes during the weekend. A button is just a little more convenient for me...

Are the specs similar to their PRO version?

I've got one for you. When working on my car with my transmitter and esc turned on. If I set my radio within six inches of the receiver the receiver goes into failsafe. When I move my radio away the receiver turns back on. Move radio back goes into failsafe. Anyone else have this problem.
Not bashing, I love my Spectrum System.
