Check the Spektrum web site I have had the same problem and my system had to go back to them for mods

I have this same problem with my dx3, although I haven't been able to run my cars because the receiver switches when ever it wants. Then when I try to adjust my trims and endpoints, for some reason it goes into failsafe mode. I think it might be a bum radio, good thing I just bought it yesterday.

When you said 'your system', did you mean only the reciver or both??
(it might be a dumb-ass-question, but when you don't know... you don't know..)

it's the transmitter. Check out the Spektrum website, there is an article about it.

Default Question

I just opened a brand new Spektrum receiver module to shorten the antenna wire to 3.6". That being done, I noticed that the smaller upper board was slightly tilted and a component was making incidental contact with another on the lower board.

There is an aligned hole in both boards for what I assume would be some sort of standoff post to keep them from making contact with each other.

No standoff post is present. Should I be concerned or are they all like this?

Many thanks for any input.

I have 7 of them without a stand off. My theory is that if you had a stand off in there, you wouldn't be able to use the side aireal hole in the case as there isn't room for the wire to bend. The top board needs to tilt to allow room for the wire.

Hey Greg,

So you've got one now 2? Ive been using mine for a while for practicing and done one meeting. It has been excellet (at Ruapuna anyway). I have the whole transmitter set-up. I also really wanted to thank you for coming to the SIs, great competing with you even though we didn't really get much of a chance to battle.

Hi Mike

I ran DSM at Ruapuna, but I cut the aireal's on both cars and had issues since the track is huge. For anyone thats interested, the straight is so dam long that I just couldn't bare to hold full throttle with my 710 for the whole thing!! Lucky I had a new receiver in box and that went in the 710 and I had no more issues with it, but the BD had issues, which actually cost me abit of time. It went into fail safe a number of times so was dam lucky to keep near you and finish 3rd. If I had of brought down a different set of rear hubs and had a longer aireal on the receiver, we may have had abit more of a battle.

I won't be down next year for the Electric Nationals due to the Pre Worlds the following week, but will be down in 2007 when it must be your turn to host the Gas Nationals again.

Cheers

Greg

What do you all think of the HRS version they just released? Anyone have any idea if it will work with a Futaba 3VCS (Stick version of 3pk)?

Greg> You racing at the international?

I can't see much point with the HRS.

I have to pick and choose which meetings to go to and the International doesn't interest me at all, plus I'm pretty busy with organising the Ultimate and getting an Off Road track going. Till the AGM I've got 3 meetings I'm planning on going to, being the Ultimate Open, Pre-Worlds in Brisbane and the Electric Off Road Nationals. Are you coming down for the Ultimate?

I certainly hope to be able to come down for the ultimate, just depends how much money I will have by then. I'm pretty sure I will providing nothing comes up before then.
