Hobbywing Xerun V3

My new V3.1 stock spec turned itself off I ran it today at a club race indoors on a small track in my Mi5 in 17.5t blinky and the esc shut down twice. The first time I hit the side of the car the esc is on against the track trunking at a reasonable slow speed. The second time I was hit in the side by another car at a more moderate speed. Both times the esc switched back on straight away and all was fine for the remainder of the race. I've had a V3 for 2 years and have never had this happen and I'm sure I've crashed harder. Has anybody had a similar problem with this esc?

I tried some things that worked, maybe it helps.
1st stage punch rate - 1 ~ 4 (this engine has so much torque and "drains" heavy load, it helped the esc temp.
2st stage punch rate - 6 ~ 10
Boost 10
Start boost 18000/28000 End Boost (1000rpms / deg)
Turbo 10 ~ 15 (check temperatures ESC / Motor )
Full TH
18deg/0.1s
18deg/0.1s
Active temp control for your safe!!

You don't mention what FDR your running, around 7.8-8.0 is a good start, and then steadily increase the boost and turbo. Would try 5boost (start rpm of around 11,000), 15turbo to start, and go from there. Punch at around 10 1st stage, 13 2nd.

I wish ROAR would get the Stock Spec and 1S (V3.1) on their approved list. I have a lot of racers bugging me about their legality. I have told them, not on the lost (or now forum) then you can't run them at our big race in two weeks. Bummer since we have been informed that they passed tech!!

Thanks everybody for the advises I will try your tips on the track and report.
Ps my fdr is 9 at the moment because i don't want to stress the engine and also because it is not an huge track.

Did I fry my esc? I was experimenting with boost and turbo on the car stand, and suddenly the positive battery lead and the "B" lead from the motor both de-soldered from the esc posts. There was a spark, but no smoke. Disconnected the battery immediately.
So, I soldered the connections back together and tried it all again. The motor moved twice upon applying throttle, then nothing at all. I then realized that I had forgotten to plug in the sensor cable. That done, still nothing. The motor (HW 4700) would take off if I helped it by spinning the shaft with throttle applied. But once at rest... nothing.
Decided to try another motor (Tenshock 4000) that I know works, and still nothing on its' own. Except with this one, after spinning it to make it move and then allowing it stop, the light on the esc flashes white (green/red, I assume) rapidly. Then the motor just vibrates when throttle is applied.
What have I done to my beloved V3!?
Update: Put my 4700 back on my SCT Pro, and it works like a champ. V3 is officially messed up Still not sure what happened.
Any input would be appreciated.
