You could splice in a new switch.

Default Hobbywing 3.1 setup for carpet (2wd and 4wd buggies)

Hi all,

I am posting here because I would like to have a good based setup for my esc hobbywing 3.1.

I am racing 2wd and 4wd on a medium size carpet track, so it is medium-high bite and has a combination of low and high speed corners.

For the moment I have been unable to find a right setup and I have the impression that I still have too much puch, brake, ...

It would be fantastic to have a full setup to know also turbo timing, boost, acceleration curve, etc

Someone has a good based setup for carpet 2wd and 4wd?

Thank you in advance

FMM Have you hooked into the computer to read about each setting? When you click on a function you get a full explanation of that feature. I am going to be running 4wd buggy this weekend with the 3.1 and I will see if I can jot something down for you guys.....

Thank you Paul!

Yes, I have done it and I understand the basic concepts, however what I am looking for is a good mix of parameters! Because I guess if have have very low punch but at the same time the turbo starts very low, I will still feel a lot "punch" in the car.

In TC I managed to find a nice setting based on one base setup I found and doing some small adjustments, but I am struggling with my buggies.

Btw one more specific question. Which profile would you recommend for buggies? "Mod" or "SCT/buggy"? My question is because I have seen people using both but I guess the "SCT/buggy" is a better starting point, am I right? I have heard that "mod" works better with modified motors... But still I am not sure...

Thank you in advance!

How do the justock esc's hold up for everyone? The lhs can now get hobbywing through Schumacher and I'm tempted on getting one for 17.5 or 21.5 racing. The Toro ts50 isn't roar legal for blinky so this seems to be the solution

-Software
-V1.08_120504
-V1.11_120331_V3

I just plan to keep this one in Blinky. Is there a link for the various Software versions that are available, Current and Past? What is the current version for the V2.1? Hardware version for the Box?

I only have the 2 options.

Thoughts?

Cool XERUN 120A 1S V3.1 ESC

Does anybody know if the XERUN 120A 1S V3.1 ESC can be run with a 2s Lipo? I know it says in the instructions not to use it but on the other hand it mentions the use of Touring Car use and voltage cut offs up to 11.1V? I have the V2.1 and it works just fine on the 2S LiPo. I would like to use it on a 17.5 Blinky Set up in Stock Touring Car with a 2S LiPo. Any help suggestions would be most appreciated, Thanks

The BECs are not adjustable on HW ESCs

accidentally popped one of my stock v3.1 , HWNA swapped it out for me with a brand new one. AWESOME support.

my question is , the replacement came with all black heavy gauge wiring. this is pretty sweet and was just curious if they all will from now on?

In my sct with a smc 10.5 I accidentally left my fan unplugged once and the esc for to 115. I use a good bit of brakes too. Motor was 150ish. Just my findings on temp. Not sure what hot even is for a esc.

Ya it will be no problem at all (assuming its the 120a). I run both by buggy (8.5t) and by 2wd sct (7.5t) without the fans and they don't go over 140F. Just make sure you are gearing right
