Hi,
Yes just solder the red and black together and leave the white insulated w/o touching the black or red. If you need to re setup the esc, you do that by touching the white to the soldered together red and black and touching as if you were pushing the setup button when required for setup.

I have been having a tough time with the built in switch on my V3.1 stock spec recently. I think it probably just needs to be cleaned out inside as I run off road with it. Is it ok to open it up and use some Isopropyl or something or is there a better way? Turning it off isn't a problem since I can just hold the brake on the radio for that.

I don't know if this is where I would post this but I just dealt with Pete from fiercercsolutions. I must say I work in customer service and have dealt with just about every popular online rc retailer and I have never got the customer service that you just gave me. I hope this esc is as good as your customer service. If it is I will switch to all hobbywing and only buy from you. Hands down the best service I have gotten in the rc business!

Ok I have a question on how to get the tenshock motor with the sct pro esc to take off better from a dead stop it likes to not go (clog) also when I hit the throttle harder it's like a shot gun feel on the throttle . It's not a sensored motor .
My punch control is at number 4 .
