Have raced SP esc's from 12/08 AND now I have my FIRST problem!!!!! :D

GT2.0 LPF have HW lcd box (V1.36 loaded w/ 323) , loaded 508 program to run "Blinky" for stock 17.5 class.

Loaded program five times, no blink, buddy tried 2 times with his SP lcd no blink!

Seems everything is set for "Blinky".

Any ideas?

the light for blinky on those can be really hard to see. if its all set for blinky.. the only real way to check would be to undo the bottom of the case to see the light.

Removed part of the sticker to better see the led, never blinks

I had the same problem with my 2.0 pro. You may have to click your throttle trim up or down a few clicks on the radio for the light to blink.

Got my latest LPF on the track yesterday with the V3 Comp 9.5 and it ran great. I do notice a difference between this one and the one I bought a few months ago. There is a little bit of a lag with throttle response. It was taking a little over an 1/8" of trigger to engage and after messing with my radio got it down a tolerable amount. My only "complaint" is that I should have just gotten the 7.5 instead of the 9.5.

You might want to check the neutral setting on the speed control. I had mine turned up too much when I first started and had lots of trigger travel. It also changed the way the brakes felt.
Hope it helps.

That is at the lowest setting; I believe it is at 6%. Even though I have had the other LPF for over six months I am still playing with the settings on it and have it just about perfect. The bad part about that is it is now in the spare car that I no longer run. The new one is close but I have gotten so used to how the first LPF works that any minor difference is "huge". And my "complaint" is minor as well because I am faster than with my 7.5 probably because I have more control over the buggy. I love SP stuff.

When I was racing last night, I have noticed that the throttle is very intermittent at times. I have tried a new sensor cable, and even changed models on my Radio (Fut. 3PKS using 2.4 Fasst).

I have checked the radio settings and it has a Linear CRV setting for the trigger, meaning it should be an equal as I give it throttle, yet it seems like its doing something erratic. Could it BE a bad sensor port on my ESC?

MOmo

Try different motor....more likely is the sensor board inside your motor is bad.

Got my GT2.0 Pro in the mail today. Got everything wired up and installed, except for the receiver and transponder. I need to buy another SR3500.

Otherwise, looks good. I like the DRRS settings. Makes having a 7.5T lazy or balls out.

Something else I noticed. I don't have a glitch buster installed on the receiver and the car doesn't cut out. I'm guessing the BEC's are better than the Viper and Tekin I have. Hopefully that stays that way. I'm out of space.

Edit: The fan sounds like a pocket helicopter. Insanely loud.

These fans are powered by the lipo (8.44v) or so....and it is very loud indeed.

1. Make sure your radio setting (EPA) are all 100% or default position
2. Load the 508 program onto the ESC 1 more time.
3. When it is loaded...please turn off radio and ESC both. (MUST DO)
4. Turn on RADIO and ESC and do the calibration again.
5. When it is done calibration, turn off both RADIO and ESC again.
6. Turn everything back on...you should see the red LED blinky at the bottom/side of the ESC

Make sure the ESC, the bottom case is clear plastic...some very old GT2 ESC are using the solid black color plastic, nothing will shine thru solid black plastic.

Solara, care to answer russp's question about what the heck is going on with the Reventon series? Although I'm glad I don't ever "Pre Order" anything I can definitely see his and any others frustrations over this problem. Its one thing when your told a date and it gets pushed back a few weeks, I get that, but its been MONTHS now with little to no word from anyone associated with Speed Passion....

I am trying to answer them 1 by 1...

It has been delay due to the approval processing. Remember, we are not doing this just for USA, we have to submit to other national organization and such before we can actually mfr them for resale...in USA, I can no longer be able to actually tell everyone the release day as I myself don't even know what was the hold up.

If you have already paid for the ESC from the hobby shop, kindly ask them to refund your order, but I am surprise they would charge you the full amount instead of a small deposit. But anyway, this is all I can tell.

Good. For future reference, anytime you change the firmware in the ESC you need to set EPA's to 100 (or whatever you like) and re-calibrate the ESC to the radio by using the hold down button on the switch. Pass it on.
