If you don't have a PC handy them make sure you are following the steps to change the various settings. |
So I picked up 13.5 from a buddy and plan to run it in my BMax MR V2.
(Its not a SP motor, its Trinity) I'm thinking about running this in Mod at our Indoor Carpet offroad track. It's not a huge track, so I don't want to go crazy, but wondering if anyone else out there are competitive with milder mod motors? I'll be using my trusty Reventon S, and I wanted to know how I should program the ESC. Should I use the Stock 1 Profile or Mod2? Thoughts on how much timing? I haven't even really run the car since its pretty new to me anyway, but I just recently installed the elec. and before I went crazy I would ask my fellow SP geeks for their opinion. MOmo |

MOmo To start I would just run the 13.5 in "blinky" zero timing mode. On a small track, like you said, there really won't be much difference between a modified and 13.5 in terms of overall laps times. Some find it easier to drive the 13.5 which yields a faster lap. |

Any updates to the the blinky firmware? Have 2 Reventon R's, one running 21.5 blinky on road and the other running 17.5 blinky off road and neither have brakes. I can't use the on road car as brakes are so important at my track. I can set the cars to use drag brake which works but I dislike that setting.

I find it hard to believe folks have no brakes with blinky in offroad. I posted a vid awhile back showing my buggy on asphalt in blinky mode having more brakes than I would ever need in dirt. Onroad maybe a diff story as there is more grip, but why would you want to lock up your brakes in dirt...spinout |

I assume you double checked your settings? Make sure you set radio EPA 100/100 when you calibrate speedo. Can you post your speedo settings?

Anyone familiar with the bluetooth module?
My brother accidentally hooked up the ESC wire to the module backwards and now my phone can no longer connect to the module. It pairs with the module momentarily then disconnects. Does this mean my bluetooth adapter is fried? I have tried holding the "Default Settings" button until the red light came on, but that didn't change anything. |
I have the Speed Passion 9.5 and reventon pro 1.1 esc in an SC10. I run on med to large outdoor tracks with med to high grip. The smaller one has tighter turns and small straightaways while the other track is very fast with 4 jumps and fast sweepers. I have tried 16/87, 17/87, 16/84, 17/84 and 20/84. Stock 1 esc programming with all defaults in place. with the 17/87 and 20/84, the motor got up to 150 before I shut it down( 15 mins). With the other ratios it gets up around 135-140. I'm trying to get it down around 120 or so. I pick up an 81 spur today to try 16/81 or 17/81. 16/81 puts the FDR at 13.16. Will that help bring down temps?

This the LED program card
http://www.speedpassion.net/us/produ...SP000007&c=OPT THIS the LCD program card? http://www.speedpassion.net/us/produ...SP000056&c=OPT There is a difference, I know some tend to use them interchangeably. The older ESCs should work with the LED version, but for fine tuning and newer Reventon, I've found the LCD to most beneficial. Never had the issue of the #s not matching when using the LED vs LCD. the ONLY exception might the older LED boxes, I've known some of those to have different #s and adjustments compared to newer ones. http://www.hobbywing.com/uploadfile/.../LED/LED-4.jpg Anyone here have some updated ESC settings for the Reventon? I was looking over some setup sheets from the Pros, but they seem a little outdated. Does anyone have any good 2wd of 4wd buggy offroad setups? How would you describe the "feel" of the ESC and Motors? Do you prefer a linear feel or rather something mild that comes on strong once you get into the power-band? Is it best to crank the timing all the way up on the ESC and dial back the EPA on the radio to compensate or does everyone run moderate timing? What do you love about the SP Reventons? What software changes are needed? (Sadly I haven't run mine enough to really appreciate the features, I know that at the regional race I ran, I was running down people on the straights so I know its got power). Just curious how some of you like your setups. I guess I'm still trying to adjust and get used to the settings and whats working for my tight indoor track vs my outdoor one. MOmo |
