would there be benefits to adding more caps to the ESC in question?

What's a good 25mm replacement fan for the Reventon PRO 1.0 Units? The newer model uses a better fan but I haven't upgraded yet and I've killed a couple of the speed passion fans really easily. Thanks!

Mod 0,Mod1,Mod2 Differences?
Use a Reventon R with a 7.5T in a SC10.2 and very happy with its performance. I'm wondering what the differences are between the three setups. I'm using Mod 0 . Will be switching all my cars to SP. Love the pricing and the reliability

Neutral Range ?
Also I have a really narrow neutral range. As soon as I pull the trigger there is no hesitation. I mean I can pull it a fraction of an inch and it starts the motor. It also happens in reverse, if I'm using reverse during practice. Again using the Reventon R speed control. Can this be control from the ESC or better to use my Futaba Radio to control this?
Thanks, Rich |
Modify 0 on a Reventon R & Competition v3.0 here too.
That's a great set-up - impressively smooth operation and lots of power under the hood. One question if I may: it takes some time and 5-6 presses on the throttle until I can activate the reverse... is this related to the motor having to come to a full stop before it starts rotating backwards? I mean is this normal or should I do something? |
If I remember right. You have too hold the brake then go back to neutral then the reverse will work.

will a reventon pro 1.1 be ok to run in a 4x4 sct? If so can they run a 550 motor or would I just use a standard 540 mod motor?
|
mod 0, mod 1 and mod 2 are each a little smoother than previous. if you are running mod 0 and liking it you will probably find that you like the others even more. mod 0 has a point in the throttle that you can kind of feel it kick in. that makes it harder to control on anything but high bite. mod 1 and then mod 2 have less of this effect.
if you want less throttle response you can try a higher percent on the narrow band or use a little negative exponential. (If you use a Spektrum radio you would use a positive number on the expo function. ) |

Thanks, Rich Recalibrate your TX to the ESC. Make sure your nuetral, full throttle and full brake are set correctly.

http://www.speedpassion.net/us/catagory.asp?c=mtr&sc=56 I know that a few of our sponsored guys have run low turn 540 mods in 4x4 SCT with success as well. |

[QUOTE=Nexus;13290379]Rich,
Recalibrate your TX to the ESC. Make sure your nuetral, full throttle and full brake are set correctly. Done that a couple of times with the same results. It's not a really big deal but if I accidentally hit the trigger its off and running!!! I even set the ESC to 12% on the Neutral Range Setting. Starting to wonder if in the neutral radio calibration if I moved it a few degress back and forth would it pick that up and register it???? Not sure just thinking of ways to make it work......... really loving the Speed Passion motors so far. Best bang for the buck. Can't wait to try the new versions out.

I'm using MOD 0 and all I generally have to do is just stop and reverse. Not sure if using a Futaba radio helps the reverse.
Braking is fine. Strong and immediate. The problem is it takes some time for the system to engage the reverse... I did recalibrate the ESC and it's still the same behaviour. |

NEXUS: Any guesstimate when the V4 motors will be in stock, and if so where? I need a 17.5 for my new 2WD buggy and was eating towards the MMM but wight he V4's now, I think I'd rather have that. |
