You bet. Go to the Brake section and toggle on the Wheel Stand option. Just kidding...but it is in the brakes tab.

That would be an awesome option haha and thanks for the help, been out of the hobby for a while and coming back into it is crazy since so much has changed and I'm honestly a little lost with all the new stuff for esc setups and what not

yeah in racing you won't really want to lock the brake up. There is a section on the track at PRCP that when you brake down the straight before going in the turn that if you hit it too hard you can actually have your buggy in particular bite into the ground as it gets bumpy there.

Usually I turn down my radio EPA for brake travel in general to make the adjustment to what I want (Futaba 4PL). That seems to give me the performance I want.

I'm looking to upgrade my radio in time but it brakes fine the more I think about it I just got so used to the other system

Need to drop my VST 8.5t into one of my retro rides for a weekend race. Can I run it with a sensorless esc?

Which fan assembly will work with the VTX10BE, the one for the standard VTX or the VTXR?

Progauge Presets

Hi all, I just purchased a progauge and see there are 8 presets. Are these set up already with useful setups designed for certain situations, or are they just there to be overwritten with your personal setups?

If it's the former, is there anywhere to get information about what each of the presets are set up for? I've looked but can't find anything.

Thanks for your help,
Rax

There should be a sheet of instructions that shipped with your ESC with that information on it along with a bunch of other useful stuff. There's a compartment at the bottom of the box. The presets are loaded with specific settings to help you get your machine set up a bit quicker.

what is everyone's thoughts on the VXR/ Copperhead combo? is this system reliable in race worthy even though it is not censored

Ah, thanks - it only came with instructions on how to plug it in, but I did some digging and it turns out that the explanations are in the manual of the ESC, for example, the VTX10 is here: http://www.viper-rc.com/pclink/updat...manual_A55.pdf

It is one of the smoother sensorless systems I have driven. However, it's still sensorless. If you are used to running sensored motors the power is going to feel like it hits like a hammer. I've got a VTX8 in my SCTE and it feels amazing.

AssocRacer, I can't answer your question about the fan but I can tell you that I ran a VTX10R without a fan in my Durango 4x4 buggy without overheating the ESC. The body I ran had good ventilation to the ESC and motor though. Is your ESC getting too hot? Could you vent your B44.2 body more? Turn down your throttle and/or brake frequencies?

AssocRacer 08-20-2014 09:26 AM

I've tried doing all that. Problem is with the stupid traction on carpet it doesn't matter how low I turn my frequencies down the ESC and motor still get smokin hot. I've tried gearing it low and high and everything in between and just can't get it to cool down.

What are these rumors about new esc coming? Rumor is they will have replaceable receiver leads for cleaner installs.
