The temp sensor is internal on the esc and motor so there will be some variance between the outside temperature you measure and what the thermal setting triggers at. Internal temps will always be much higher. Just something to be aware of.

gonna start out with a viper 8.5 in my desc410r with a rx8(til the vtx10r comes out), which torque rotor would work best, racing on a small indoor track

Are u sure a rx8 will fit in ur 410r it's pretty tight in there!

Hey TW!

Sorry just thought I would get people to post. My vtx10 is awesome I can't wait to get more of them! It's worth the wait folks!

I have one and another on the way, hopefully this week.

I was all excited to get it wired up the other day only to realize all I had on hand was 12g wire

Hitting the LHS tonight to grab some 14g. Then I'll bring it to life.

I also prefer to use 14g wire, but if you need to use the 12g just tin the end and then clip it with a side cutter to make it smaller. I have done this many times and it works like a charm. Also for all my stock stuff I have switch to 16g. It seems that the amp draw requirements of brushless are not even close to the brushed equivalents. Wires don't get hot and it is much easier to use in tight spaces.
