The SPX has done a good job, but it is time for some more flexibility other than a few profiles. This ESC looks like it is going to fit the bill perfectly. The release date was late December then changed to early 2011. Is there any possibility of shaking loose one of these units loose little bit earlier?

Very interested, looks to be a promising product.

Thanks for your interest and I'm glad to hear so many people are eagerly awaiting the esc's. I'm sorry I won't be able to get you a unit before they officially hit production. Where did you hear it was pushed back from late December to early '11? Either date may be correct, we don't have an exact date in mind yet. At this point we are still trying for late December. We should have the next run of proto speedos this week.

No problem. That post you were referring to was talking about the 1/8 motors. Sorry for the confusion.

We will be offering 550 size short course motors, they are in testing and development stages now. ROAR is the main reason that development has been slow because they haven't released any guidelines yet to make them ROAR legal. We are treading lightly on the design right now until detailed guidelines are available so we don't produce a motor that is deemed illegal in a month.. There's no saying whether the currently available 550 size brushless motors will be legal once the rules are finalized.

I received my Viper 8.5 motor and will be posting a video with my first impressions, then I will post a running video once I get to the track this weekend. The motor will be going in my SC10. Looking forward to this test!

I wanted to crack into the box so bad but thought I would wait for the video so you guys can see what you get when it arrives at your door.

I would also like to note that these solder posts are amazing and easy to solder. The wire practically falls into place :D

Those are both 1/10 esc's. The Vtrax10 is the standard 1/10 esc and the 10R is the high current 1/10 esc. The 10R has lower internal resistance so it also has more rip as well as double the current capacity :tire:

They guys at The Hidden Hanger wouldn't mind one of those esc to test with.:D
