Edmond,
hold off on your purchase for this application, we are working on a new ESC version that will handle the high demands and high heat we have here in Vegas in the 4wd SCT class, I have been running a VTX10R v.2 prototype for quite some time now and have had great success and results with it, we should be seeing the final product hitting the market real soon. I cant say too much about it, but the performance is awesome and will be worth the wait and be very competitive against the others makes out there

I finally got to run my Viper 13.5 with a Tekin RS in my SC-R over the weekend. I started with the gearing at 26/78, but the motor was getting hot (165F+) and the power was falling off after 4-5 minutes. So I backed it down to 24/78. At that ratio the temps were back under 160F and the motor did not fall off in the second half of the heats.

You can boost our motors pretty good. just check temps and gear up/down according to speed. i run my 13.5 at 170 all day it loves it!

Viper motors have a lot more torgue. This allows you to gear up more than normal.Start a couple teeth higher than normal and watch your temps. These motors are awesome.

For the guys wondering what the .V2 is for the VTX10R, it's the fan kit. There is no V2 ESC we are testing.

Sorry if this has been asked I did a search but that didnt work out to well I was looking at the Viper website and reading up on the new Copperhead system .... is this going to be sensored or sensorless? Was thinking of picking one up to put into my scte, however after trying sensored I dont really wanna go back to sensorless.

The new Copperhead VX4 will be a sensorless system.
