:lol: I knew you were going to say that!

On the VSE, I think I'll wait it out and see how efficient they run when us regular doods get some track time on these and report their flaws. Getting a first production unit is not a good plan for me right now(had 2 bad VTXR's out the box)and it seems like you also had a couple failures with your esc's. So waiting for everything to get ironed out first might be best. Hey, it took the MMM esc 3 revisions before being a stout esc that it is today. Too mad it's not sensored.

We are on Gen 3 of the VSE proto's... the first two Gens lasted.... 2 turns?

Gen 3 is working very well. Runs cool, quick, and very efficient.

lol, well its true.

I had the same problem, one worked for about 2 weeks and the other was done right when i was about to calibrate it, but sent one back and sending the other back tomorrow and hopefully they work good when i get them back. Rage has helped me alot, so im gonna stick with viper for awhile. I cant wait for their 8th scale esc's

No offense guys but of course you got nothing but good things to say about your prototype esc's and motors, that's what team drivers with free stuff do in a public forum. Just like how we read for months how awesome and reliable the proto VTX's are. You need to build up the anticipation and get people to buy the gear. We'll see how these motors live up to the hype when us regular folks field test these motors out for you.

Just my $0.02

no offense dude, but i dont get free stuff;)

With todays demands for rc products, people wanting this stuff yesterday. It is hard to develop and test every possible scenario, so far it has been pretty good. Cult has the right idea, Our warranty is well worth it. Our product is made with the highest quality components. But there are always a few slip ups in the QC department. Happens to every company out there. Please be patient and it will be taken care of and you will have one killer system.

Most people don't actually understand the difference between a two pole and four pole motor, only that all the other 1/8 motors out there are four pole...

We worked hard on the two pole design to create the smoothest power band you'll find in a 1/8 power plant. There is no sacrifice of power, just a better and more precise feel :)

I am one of these people...I have no idea what 2 pole and 4 pole means. What are we talking about?

Two pole motors by nature are higher rpm and lower torque than four pole motors. Two pole motors also tend to have a much smoother and more precise power band.

Four pole motors may be better for some specific applications, but at the same time a two pole motor will be better for other specific applications. In rc cars a four pole design isn't necessarily better, and in our opinion this two pole design is better for the intended application and desired performance.

I will give you guys a more technical answer soon on the differences between a two and four pole design :tire:
