No worries. I tried Life but couldn't get much run time out of them compared to lipo. I think I'm going to try the 1258 to start with.

don't know as both haven't given me any problems on race days, i'm getting well over 1 1/2 hours out of both but i prefer the life as i don't have to worry like the lipo when charging.

Is the 1257 know for being a loud server? I just hooked mine up last night on a buggy and when I turn the car on the servo is making a pretty loud noise. If I turn the wheels with the transmitter the noise might stop for a second or two but when back in neutral the noise comes back. I thought I read that these were loud servos so is this normal or did I hook something up incorrectly?

Thank you

hi guys i just got a 1258tg and it is doing something wierd when i turn it lock to lock it makes the speed control in my car go forward like a glitch just a little stutter but enough to matter the light on the reciever goes out for a split sec i tried it in different cars i thought it was the bec on the mmp i have in my truck but it did it with my tekin in my 1/8 scale buggy so i tried it in my gas truck with a battery pack and it still moves the throttle servo 3 different radios and recievers all the same result any ideas? or should i return it?

I had the same issue. Problem went away after plugging one of these into the receiver.

+2 had the same issue. called castle, little upset the internal bec cant handle the high power servos. almost was gunna sell and go tekin. guess it dont matter which brand. they told that i can do one of 2 things. either go with an external bec or the cap [spm1600]. just recieved the cap today, just tried it and seems to have fixed the prob.

didnt want to re-solder the esc with the bec and another 25-30$ bucks..hopefully it holds up..why cant they just update the mmp to handle whatever you throw at it..
