NEW HOBBYWING STOCK SUPERCHARGED SOFTWARE
I've run it in stock TC, FDR at 3.92-4.0, approx. 45* timing on the end bell. It's plenty fast on a open flowing track. In short technical tracks, it lacks a bit of low end grunt compared to a D4w/ HT rotor or TP Actinium
There is a V10 thread... I have tried the 13.5 in my 1/12 but have yet to find a combo that works well on 1s. Perhaps someone else has figured it out. I would imagine we would want a high RPM rotor installed to get the right feel.

I've had mixed success with my v10 motor and the setting will depend a great deal what class and how you drive into.corners.
V10 doesn't have as much punch in stock trim but certainly has top end. For 13.5 blinky single cell I've had success with timing set to 40ish and a moderate rollout to track condition. I tend to use my brakes to pitch the nose in which is where I'd appreciate more punch pulling out. Some of this is esc for sure. Hobbywing esc is very smoothe to drive but having owned orca as well, orca has a slight advantage in pinchy feel I'd say. They almost feel like they have turbo but obviously don't.
Right now I'm experimenting with a higher torque rotor and modifying the endbell to get more timing. Cranking the timing on stock rotor has given it obscene top end and finally gets the motor warm heh.
Top speed has never been an issue with this motor. Its fast and runs crazy cool. I just want a little more notchiness down low.
The rotor choices are a little confusing though. I don't think 13mm is legal for roar spec but maybe the modified 5x12.5 would be as most other manufactures make rotors this size that are. I never seem to get an answer on my questions so ill just keep on keepin on.

Hey guys,
Not sure if this is the right thread but hopefully I can get some help here. I'm running a V3.1 ESC with a 21.5T in blinky mode. I'm really struggling to get decent braking. It does slow down but won't brake hard. The firmware is whatever it came with out of the box, I have not updated it at all. Will new firmware make the brakes better? What firmware version should I be using? Would greatly appreciate some help here.
Cheers
Simon

Nice avatar by the way.
Oh, does it make a difference when it's in forward/brake only mode? Avatar is what happens when you don't clean your keyboard :P
