The track has 30m long main straight with technical infield. I dont want to put pressure on power system, so I dont want to use any sort of timing.

What can you guys suggest about FDR?

Regards
anyone?

Hey guys.

need help setting up a SP 13.5 motor with a hobbywing xtreme stock ESC.
The track has roughly a 45 meter long straight with the infield fairly flowing with 1 maybe 2 slow corners.
At the moment my car is way slower than the guys with Tekins so I'm guessing my settings are just way off.

any help is appreciated.

Post the FDR, software and Speedo settings you are using and someone might be able to offer some advice.

Try searching this thread for 13.5, there are plenty of set-ups here.

Most of the setups are for small carpet tracks so not really much use for me and there are too many pages to go through.

anyway below is my current setup

Motor: Speed Passion MMM 13.5
Software: 1.64 usb link with 110930STOCK

DDRS: 9
Boost Timing: 60 Deg
Turbo Open Time: 24deg/.01 sec
Turbo Timing: 40 deg
Boost Start RPM 10000
Turbo Open Delay: OFF
Boost Timing ACC: 500rpm/deg

cheers,

cheers,
I'm no expert, but first thought is way too much timing happening there and bogging the motor down
I am running the same combo with the following settings
DRRS 7
Boost 42
Boost start 8000
Turbo slope 12
Turbo timing 12
Turbo delay 0.2 sec
ACC 500
FDR is 8.05
Have been trying higher FDR around 8 or so and playing around with boost etc
Car has quick acceleration and good but not great top end as yet so a bit more work to do yet
The higher FDR is keeping the temps lower as well

Default MMM 17.5 and X12 17.5 recommendations

Hello I'm running an Xtreme stock with the latest boost firmware. This is our track layout at the moment.

http://youtu.be/2gpQC61hEbo

I'm looking for some recommendations on boosted settings for an LRP X12 and SP MMM 17.5 motor.

Thanks.

cheers,
Here are the settings I run with my 120a/13.5MMM:

DDRS: 9
Boost Timing: 40 Deg
Turbo Open Time: 18deg/.01 sec
Turbo Timing: 20 deg
Boost Start RPM 2000
Turbo Open Delay: OFF
Boost Timing ACC: 250rpm/deg
FDR around 7.6

Make sure you have a fan, MMM's seem to run quite hot compared to the older V3's.

Cheers
Andrew

Probably not but if your gearing is right and everything is running real free etc..it might just make it (depending how old are your packs too)
