Will be ready tomorrow
2 changes have been made 1.more brakes like the 211 stock has 2.less sensitivity of the sensor port thus all motors ca be used without the issue of esc switching to sensorless mode. Ron schurr from roar will be doing the testing hopefully by this weekend as it needs to be roar approved before it can be run in vegas. regards Angelo just a quick question re the sensor issues. Is anyone else having "issues" when running the 508_no_timing and 21.5t speed passion. Have the car fdr of 2.97 and it still doesn't run anywhere near on par with others running fdr of 3.1 Could this be the firmware or the motor? (have ordered a new hobbywing 21.5t just in case) sorry its probably a newbie question, but am a little lost |

Just as phil says, done overgear. I run a orion and a speedpassion both in blinky 21.5 the speedpassion i ran around 3.3 fdr, i installed the timing board that gives more timing but running it about 3/4 around as any more ave nonspeed but heaps of temp.
The orion on the otherhand i am around 2.9fdr as it works best with that motor |

It's entirely possible that you're over geared. No big secret, but I was running around 3.4 or higher around the track at SMA and was competitive enough. The extra punch out of the corners actually sets you up better for the rest of the track. Where you have the option of adjusting the timing on the motor, I tend towards slightly more timing and shorter gearing for more punch.

Had a chat to a couple people and changed it down again, but still slow. Might head over to sma on sunday and race it anyways, i need the practice anyways |
My son has a HW 2.1v 60a esc he installed the 508 software but the LED does not flash in neutral. The programmer shows that the 508 software is installed and it seems to be a bit slower like the timing is gone. Any help would be great.

I was the same for a while but in 21.5 it is about consistent lap times and smooth driving. Don't have that right and you will feel slow. Anywhere around the low 3's is the right fdr and then also make sure the car is free, good bearings, free driveline, all those things are needed in 21.5. If you need any tips I am there of a Tuesday as well, come and see me Chris The extra punch out of the corners actually sets you up better for the rest of the track. PDR and chrisk
thanks for you help with this stuff, still trying to get my head around it. Going to just run the serpent in the 21.5 class on sunday and tuesday night and see how it goes, and work on it from there. Really appreciate the time you guys give us newbies at sma Cheers |

I ran a 120 amp V2.1 with a D3 all practice at 5.1 and then dropped down to 4.9 with the revtech and 211. I could not keep up with the car set up and struggled with tyre prep and my times suffered. I did a 21.9 in practice which was around 0.6 off the event pace but my car was just as quick all weekend. Interestingly i ran 60 boost 0 turbo all weekend and only suffered in the 2nd last qualifier when i bumped up the motor timing past 1 notch looking for more speed and the car felt like it went into sensor less mode.
Myself and a friend were running the Trinity D3 and Hobbywing 120 amp esc combination last weekend and he unfortunately cooked his motor in the last heat. These are our settings we were trying 17.5 duo 3 standard timing ddrs 5 boost timing 40 turbo slope 18 turbo timing 25 start rpm 4000 turbo delay 0.1s timing acc 300 fdr 5.7-5.9 hobby wing 211 stock software This was the first time out for us using the Hobbywing escs and we could use some help. People running Tekin escs and Lrp motors were running 4.0 fdr |

As promised new software these files once unzipped need to be copied to
c drive/programfiles/hobbywing usb 1.63 your actually replacing the two older files . These files carry 3 types of software 1.508 zero timing more brake options and less sensativity on sensor port means less errors 2.930 mod based on the 119 less sensativity on sensor port means less errors 3.930 stock based on the 211 less sensativity on sensor port means less errors. please send me an email to [email protected] and i will email you back the files. thank you for your patients regards Angelo |
what would be the best software to use with a 21.5t sp v3 motor

This is very important for those going to IIC next week as this is the only blinky software correct? 508_no_timing is not allowed in blinky classes, correct? Thanks |
