sorry for my stupid questions... can xerun 120a v2.1 handle 4s lipo for my 1:8 car? thank you.
and using the Receiver pack(booster), just like the 1S. But never Run Low wind Motor / Mod Motor. if you do this you take your own risk. |
It would be awesome if there was a brushed firmware for the xerun and/or ezrun escs. Cheap brushed escs with lipo cut offs aren't very common.

The sooner brushed motors become extinct the better. ;) The idea of using something that becomes landfill all too soon when an alternative that lasts several years exists is the clincher for me. Have to admit though I do love brushed motors in crawlers with Castle Mamba Max ESC. :D |

Hobbywing are about future technology so I'm guessing they would have little interest in reviving the past.

There is no need for a voltage cut-off in an ESC, as long as you are conscious of when the car is slowing down and stop it. If you are still worried, external low voltage cutoffs are available.
I run a brushed sealed can motor in my Xevo mini, with a Keyence ESC and a LiPo. The combo works brilliantly. Brushed motors still have a place in the hobby. |
Cutoffs are absolutely necessary if you ask me. All it would take is one slip up and now you have a battery that just might burn your house down.

Hobbywing make a Lipo cut-off that can be used with brushed ESC's.
http://www.hobbywing.com/english/Art...?ArticleID=402 It's not expensive and it works well. In fact it is actually capable of monitoring the voltage of the individual cells as well as the total voltage of the battery. cheers. |

Bashing is a different story though where they are undoubtedly useful. |

Hobbywing TQ's 11.5T stock at the thailand international touring car race.
More than 40% of all esc's used in open brushless are hobbywing esc's (not sponsored esc's ) the sponsored class was the FWD class wit the justock esc and 13.5T motor sensored combo. Cogratulations to Mr wong from china for the TQ |
It was very funny today at the track in thailand when i overheard one of the drivers say wow that touring is fast I bet it's not a hobbywing and to be honest this guy is a famous touring car racer if only he knew who designed the esc that was in that touring car he would be shocked to know it was michael and hobbywing as an oem lol.sorry can't mention the brand.
