1.because basicaly SP for SP Firmware only.
But luckly you will be able to switch between them (caution : take it with your own risk),
only if, you are really sure want to use Hobbywing Firmware.
please asked hobby wing and sp for further services,
first you will need intall the previously first HW 518 software released to change it to Hw, firmware for it's LCD,
then install your latest HW software, and update its lcd.

Good luck.

Is the 110108 ok to be used as well?

The only "bug" I can think of, was the problem that you could not change the settings with a laptop, but only with the 2 in 1 box.

It's done it on a 13.5 Losi as well. Maybe reflashing for a third time will help. May even download the next upgrade[110108] and try that?:(

I would download the latest then, so the 110119.
If you start with 21 boost and 8 turbo, it's the same performance as the 518 (except that you have a lot more punch and a cool motor) then start adding more timing until your the fastest on the track, and still have a cooler motor and more runtime then you where used to with the 518.... :D

Boost will normally lower the temperature of the motor. By starting with a conservating starting point, and moving to a more agressive seting if you need the extra power.

What are the settings you are using now? If you post your current configuration, we can make some suggestions.

Shawn.

Now without boost :
motor lrp x12 17.5t
esc HW xerun 120a
final gearratio 3.7
timing on motor +10
esc settings
punch - 7
timing - 2

Temprature after 6min about 150F, and its with stock firmware ( without turbo etc)

But in next competiton I'll need boost but I dont want to burn motor :spidey:

Thanks will do, but not sure if it will work because when I try to update the the LCD from sp to hw it keeps telling me that the fw is unable to be loaded. However I'm saying that the LCD still allows me to update the hw fw so maybe this will just have to do for the moment as this is more important.
Cheers

i thaught it was happened to me only... my 1224 braking also dissapointed me eventhough had several times reflash the software...

the way the timings introduce for 518/422s and 1224 is totally different... if 46deg 1224 behave like 518/422s, your motor definately will burn...

When I run 34 Boost (350rpm/degree) and 12 Turbo (3/0.1 ramp), so 46 in total, my motor is cooler then it was with 29 total timing with the 518 version. But a lot faster!
I'm not questioning that the timing is build up totally different, I'm only saying the motor runs much cooler with the same figures compared to the 518 firmware.....

I'm driving 12th scale, 1S lipo!....

this are the setting that i used for first time at my racing club.

110119 with sp13.5 v3 at 7.4 fdr ,max temp 72c
4 DRRS 8
9 boost timing 55
10 turbo slope 24
12 turbo timing 30
13 start rpm 2000
14 turbo delay 0.4
timing acc 200

the car felt really quick in the infield and at beginning of the 30 metre straight, but the turbo did not felt to have any punch.what setting could help?
thanx

Hi,just go on to use 1224 if you feel good. In my thought, It's a test version with some new technology.
The only thing you shall keep in mind is if you change your motor type and don't feel good with 1224 anymore, then you can change to 0119.
Remember to keep a copy before you upgrade. Cause 1224 is not in the new 1.63 program.

Hope this will help.

You almost used up timing in boost, 2000+200*55=13000 , and with 7.4 FDR, the speed of your car is only 20km/h at this RPM.

Hi there,
has anyone had a chance to run an LRP 10.5 X11 motor/ HW Xtreme stock combination with the new 119 software yet?. If so, do you have any start point settings at all?
Many thanks for any help
