Does all servos have a single nylon gear inside regardless whether they are originally stated as Metal or titanium gears? I would have thought that paying more for these gears, I need not have to bother abt stripping nylon but it turns out JR Z9100T has a nylon gear which stripped out on me during race last week!

Yes, Hitec is (Karbonite and Titanium Construction) but yes plastic. Its made to strip out and be replaced. Replacement is like 3 bucks for the plastic gears.

I rather that strip than losing the servo altogether. I have stripped that gear in ACE - 3 times, Hitec 1 time and JR 8711 2wice....

OK not all....

If you are spending that amount of money just get Hitec 7955TG and be done with it. They can handle Lipo without a problem and is one of the best servo's on the market today.

I run ACE 1313's in Buggy And the 1313 for throttle and 1015 for steering in truggy. You don't need anything more than around 200oz for steering a truggy. Everything else is way overkill. Both ACE servos are under $100.

if you want a good quality servo, thats around $100 I highly remmend the orion vortex servos. its coreless and diginal with ,alum and titanuim gears too.

Default ok, here it goes

I would put that futaba in throttle and get an ace for steering. The futaba fits perfect in the throttle, it ligns up the brake rods more even, it's lower than most others, and the ace gearsets are like 13 bucks....

If you want reliable hi technology servos id go for MKS Brushless servos soon to hit the usa with a 13kg and a 18kg cnc case ,titanuim gears and brushless motor .

while most other servos on the market running at the pre world's were dieing the MKS had proven no matter what you throw at them even the garden hose like Josh paine did they never let up and they have no plastic gear ,There is no need for a plastic gear if you have top quality electronics and motors .

should be in the states by end of march

As mentioned before, they're the same as Team Orion VDS servos.
During last season I switched from an Ace 1015 to a Savöx 1256TG aka VDS 2015 for steering my RC8B - just because I was curious. So far no complaints at all. Will replace all my Ace servos with Savöx. Compared to the 1015 the Savöx are very lightweight, too.

Hitec and Savox for me,

Hitec 965 on throttle/brake

Savox 12kg on steering

Does the job nicely

i have had some different ones of the same brand with the same specs and i can tell you do NOT get them. i had one in buggy and two in truggy and they are junk. my buggy lasted for about 4 months and one in my truggy that lasted less than a tank. they are cheap for a reason IMO. i even tried one just for the throttle and it still burnt out quick.

did you have your steering epa set right though ,and not have too much toe out or toe in, i know that will kill any servo.
