one metal gear. one plastic gear. and with the gear removed and plugged in the motor inside just runs nonstop. i borrowed a hitec that was used in the same truck for a while now. i know it wont break and thats what im going to use. ive had a few people tell me the truck is hard on servos. so when the XP broke it showed it couldnt keep up. probley great for a buggy or different truck. the power feels as strong as the hitec even though the hightec is rated a bit higher. so its maybe more an issue with the rc8t rather than the servo it self.

i cant count how many set of gears/top cases i threw at my 1015's before i said enough....and now i hear about the new re-enforced top case's....by chance did yours have this ?...if so then i now know its the gears that are the weak link now....ya the Hitec is the route i went as well...they really are bomb proof and aren't that much slower then the 1015's.....that was one of the real bonuses of them tho.

Currently running Ace 1015 Steer/ JR 9100s Throttle. These two have served duty in three different buggies last season and now are directing my CRT. LiPo powered HTBatt regulator. This set up has been gold for me. Two seasons ago I ran an Ace 1313 on Steer in a bug. It served one w/end LiPo direct. It has also served in numerous different vehicles. Currently not being used, but it is 100% rock solid. I would not hesitate to use it for another project if needed.

toss one in a rc8t with an aluminum servo horn.. the plastic horn must of been flexing because as soon as i put in a nice aluminum one it popped the servo within a lap. my friend who loaned me his hitec to use for the day says his rc8t breaks aluminum horns with the hitec.. but the servo holds up, iused it for the rest of the day so, i know what im getting next.
