whos using XP ds1015 servos?

I have used one as a steering servo in my mbx5t and am now using one in my jammin x2 crt as a throttle servo. As long as you have the receipt they offer a lifetime warrenty. Customer service is real good. My next servo will be a xp just for this reason. I do have a buddy that has had a couple of problems with his 1015 and he talked to someone at the factory who said that he thought that the 1313 was a more reliable servo.

I've been running the ace 1015's which are the same thing for about 2 years now and have only had to replace 1 set of gears in that time due to an over tight servo saver.
1 thing to watch out for is servo horns, use the ones provided if possible as the spline on the servo is not a true futaba match it is slightly smaller.
if you choose to use a different brand servo horn (or have to use a different brand Ie 808 throttle) then all you have to do is cut a small peice of a plastic bag and press the horn over the top of it onto the spline to take out any slack ,this trick works perfectly.

I've been using a pair of 1015's for throttle and steering, mainly in truggy for about 18 months now. I had one fail me, just stop working entirely, but when I sent it back for warranty, they sent me a brand new one. I sent it off on a Monday, and by the following Monday I had the new one in hand. Doesn't get much better than that for warranty.

just ordered 1313 for throttle and 1015 for steering in my rc8t. in my buggy i ran the jr 9100t and 9100s this year also very nice but a little pricey. i am probably going to put the jrs in the truggy and ace in the buggy. hope the ace hold up well!

Ace servos has a 1 year warranty. But they are good with their warranty. They don't do repairs on the servos, just replacement for new ones. If your servo is out of the warranty period you can still send it in and Ace will sell you the same one at a huge discount. If I remember correctly I paid $50 for a new DS1313 because my old one passed it's warranty date. Best serovs for the money IMO.

I have two of the 1015's, both work great in my WC and RR. Plenty of torque and good speed. The one in my buggy is about a year and a half old and is now developing this "shake" when it is on the starter box or pit lane. But I could probably just send it in with the lifetime warranty and get a new one. I think they are the best servos on the market to be honest, great product for the money.

Ace has a new top case for the 1015 that has a brass insert in it to keep the plastic from stretching. I was told the older ones did not have this so I picked up the revised one from my LHS for like $6. I imagine the new servos come with this standard, but for those of you that have an older one with the shakes.
