I ued to run KO servos and had tons of problems in truggy steering stripping out that "saver" gear so thats when I switched to Hitec.

yes there is 1 plastic gear...but the problem wasn't soo much the gears....but the Top cases....as once the pin retainer's wore out the gears would get sloppy...skip a gear and destroy one gear or the other...sometimes its the plastic gear...sometimes the other's....but ive now seen that they have Brass bushing's in the top cases...which should solve the issues completely...i think ill get a couple new top cases and rebuild my 1015's yett again...but if i have another failure i will literally throw my 6 or so 1015's in the bin.....ive had soo many issues with them over the years i could honestly care less about them.

How long does a tank last for? I can get about 45mins easily on a 1400mah pack. Used my servos 1015's for a year now and no problems.

Probably about right. The servos are quiet powerful so drain kinda fast.

I used to run 1015/ 1313 combo, but I plan on a 1015 1015 combo in my new Caster buggy. going to a lipo to make up for the extra power draw and to make it nice and lite..

Great servos, never had a lick of problems.

i started running them when i saw richard saxton from AE running them instead of the futaba brushless.

IMO, i like the ace a lot better, more precise and they run like champs.

good luck!

It is servicable, I ran one in steering for 6 months, then grabbed a 1015, and moved the 1313 to throttle, and the difference is noticeable. 1313 is ok,1015 is far better for truggy steering

Man you need to check out your cells or your servo setup if your only getting 45mins from 1400's

I'm can do a hour long main on my intelect 1200's no problem running 2x 1015's and a personal transponder.

I've reasently gone to 1500's as my packs were getting a little old... 2 years old.... but the last time I used them was a hour long main at a major event, no problem
