What I do know is that I drove my Savage Flux farther than I had any business driving it before I decided to drive it back to me. I was using my enchanced RX. I've mentioned that, at least on my Pro, I use 2way/2channel mode to achieve the best of both worlds in terms of latency and telemetry. Gotta have my telemetry.
I'll be testing the FGr4 V2 (antennae) on my Typhon V5 6S; I have 120m from my driveway to the end of the road. End to end of my street is 185m; I'll test that out also. I'll be binding in one way, because I just don't care about telemetry. I'm used to flying an Heli for 4 minutes; so 10+ minutes on a buggy is rewarding. There's no where around here to race, so it's all recreational.

Installed, set up sub trim / end points for steering and initially calibrated the ESC; braking only slowed it down and didn't actually stop it. It didn't brake aggressively as the stock RTR transmitter did. Drove great for what little I was able to drive before thunderstorms and lightening showed up. Didn't get a chance to check the range; hopefully tonight.

I changed the ESC brake strength to step 5 / 75%; seems bizarre that the default ESC Brake Strength was 37.5%, because the stock RTR SLT3 transmitter, the brake was very aggressive on my Typhon 6S on default setup 2 / 37.5%.

Update, brakes work great on step 5. Range test tonight.

Multiple runs from one end of my street to the other, down and back; 185 meters; FGr4 V2 (antennae). No issues.

One way protocol / FCC firmware.

looking for a radio for nitro buggy. I see there are different versions of this transmitter. which one should I get? I heard there were problems with the first batch of transmitters.
How can I tell which one is the latest model?

This is the combo I got off Amazon. Two receivers; one no antenna and the FGr4 V2 that I tested to 185 meters (no telemetry one way protocol / that's furthest my road goes) on my 1/8 scale buggy. For the $ it's a impressive transmitter. I don't think there's any first batch out there anymore if there ever was.

I'm not aware of any issues with early transmitters. I was one of the first to get one in the US back in 2019. There were issues with the initial FGr4 and FGr4S receivers but those were replaced by the V2 receivers over 2 years ago. You can tell by the V2 marking on the updated receivers.

Be aware that the FGr4 receiver is very large and won't fit in some radio boxes. I've used the smaller FGr4S (internal antenna) and the smaller FGr4P (external antenna) for racing nitro buggy and haven't had any kind of range issues with either one.

Yea, the FG4r V2 barely fit in my Typhon V5 6S 1/8 scale buggy. I also ordered the FG4rB but it's so small I decided to keep it for something else since the FG4r V2 fit.

I tried emailing to no avail, but does anyone know if they have, or planning on changing up the battery port to USB-C? This battery is my only thing left in my entire house that isn't lightning or C.

If Flysky had such plans, they probably would've introduced the C port with the Pro version of the NB4. I dare say there is zero plans for a C port in the NB4 line. I perfer USB C but how much of an issue is a Micro usb port? I leave the cable on my charge hub and it's a non issue.

Has anyone purchased a NON PRO Version of the NB4 lately? Can you confirm if they fixed the deadzone on the NON pro version as I have read some post on youtube that some users have not experienced this same deadzone that was brought up in the Youtube video review.

Its not a huge issue, just an extra cord hanging out that I'd rather not have.

Also very good point, if they were, it woulda been on the pro

Well that is why I am asking because that video from Razor RC shows it has a small deadzone in the steering, and some issue with the Steering EXPO setting not being linear. So I wanted to see if that was corrected as I have seen post on youtube that some Non Pro owners do no have this deadzone. So I am seeing mixed feedback.

What are the differences between Noble and Noble Pro? Wireless charging and how do old receivers work?

I am running the latest firmware (2.0.100) in that video.
