New firmware is out today. It fixes the USB bug that broke using the transmitter for things like VRC and there is an English changelog on the site. A few other changes as well.

Is this for the 8 channel firmware?
4 channel still shows version 1.0.41 The pdf shows version 2.0.75
My anti virus will not let me download the 8 channel firmware.
Am I on the wrong Flysky page?

NB4 — Flysky

Thanks
Tom

It is the 8 channel firmware which let's let choose between 4, 6, or 8 channel mode. The 4 channel firmware is no longer being worked on. That's a false positive from your antivirus. Override it.

I bought a Noble to use with my crawler (lots of channels!) and I can't figure out how to get any of the channels to be 'on-off-on' for the winch. I can kind of do it with the trim switches, but it's more of a 'stay on until you click it back to center' situation. I would like to use the throttle trim switch, as it's in a convenient location, or even the two switches on the side of the wheel, one for winch-in, and the other for winch-out, but I don't think that would be possible. Any of the wheels work, but without a solid stop at center position, I run the risk of creep. Any help would be appreciated as I love the radio, and don't want to look for a different one.

You can bind any of the buttons to different functions. You should be able to bind them for those channels.

Yes, but the button doesn't always do what you want. For example, I bind the throttle trim switch to channel three, every click acts like a trim click. I.E. it moves the winch slowly out...forever. Or until I click it once back to neutral.

rebinding the main trim buttons are a pain on a few radios, just change it to other ones and see what happens.

I tried all the buttons. Same issues. I can get an 'on-off' for lights, or a horn. But no 'on-off-on'. I need a 3-way switch, the only ones on the radio that would really work for that would be the trim buttons. Or possibly the ones by the wheel, if I could get them to work together.

Which firmware are you on? I will try on the latest firmware this week.

2 pos setting

3 pos setting

Just tested setting the trim as 2 pos and 3 pos switches with the latest 2.0.75 firmware. Works as expected.

I got my Noble in a couple weeks ago and just updated the firmware the other day. I only need 4 channels, so I picked the 4 channel firmware. Since the 4 channel firmware is no longer being developed, should I do another update with the 8 channel? When does it give you the option to select 4,6 or 8 channel using the 8 channel firmware? Is it during the install, or is it a menu option on the radio after you install it?

OMG thank you!!!!!! I installed the 8 channel update about a week ago when I got the radio just so I had it if I wanted the extra channels, didn’t think about the newest update as there wasn’t anything about it in the change log.

It's a menu option under system settings. You can change it anytime for each model.
