It's never going to see that voltage or RPM.
On a real run (load in a 10lb car) I'm probably seeing 20-21 volts, I don't see it passing 65k.
I've tested this motor on the Mgt7 with 6s, the XLX can't handle it and shuts down, you'll need to use well under a 1:1 ratio or have an extremely light car for it to work out!

Oh yea? does it spin too fast for the ESC or just tries to pull massive amps?
I feel like I was making progress just fine with my 2200kv motor, then I had to start browsing the internet LOL.

I did run it successfully a few times with small gearing but only hit high 130's and the esc was super hot, therefore not getting the full potential at all

What would be better kv for a tp 3650 in a 2wd salsh on 6s.right now I am thinking the 2350kv or the 2060kv. Have the castle 2400kv right now around 110mph. These motors are 10mm longer than the castle and higher quality. So I am thinking I could get 120-125 and my goal is to break 130 evenuly.would I need a 4050 or4060 to do that or can I pull it off with the 3650

I'd go with the 4060 or the 4070, on 6s anywhere from 2200kv-2900kv, just depends on what you are looking for and how you gear it

4070 I think is a little over kill and I know jm speck has done 120 with a 3650 sized posidon motor and he said it can do more I might go 4060 but I feel 4070 is complete over kill for a 2wd. I would like to try and do it with the 36XX sized motor but I will move up to a 4050 or 4060 if you guys don't think it can be done.

130s in a 2wd Slash will be tough no matter what motor you run. I would go with a 40xx series for a pretty big slash.

I am doing it because it is hard and beacues I want to have the fastest slash/rustler/stamped 2wd. And thanks I think I am going to go with the 4060 1950 or 2450.

Sounds like a good plan. Nothing wrong with a good challenge. Good luck with that.

I'll give it a shot and put a current limit on the XLX.
I've been pulling about 220-230amps with the 5682 for 105mph.
