Sounds like no bumps from the C to b, we've done that before for local big races, it allows triple A's and bumps

The bottom line is that we are trying to make this a more enjoyable event. Not just a race. If you come to Motorama strictly for the RC Race, you're selling yourself short.

The past 2 years, we had so many people that we were there extremely late every night and no one got to actually enjoy the event. I think I saw one moto race and I was looking forward to it. The goal now is that we can finish at a reasonable time, let everyone experience what Motorama is really about, and still have great racing. You do realize that we are still going to have close to 700 entries over 2 tracks.

Now about bumps. This is NOT official, but my understanding is no bumps except the B Main. This is something I have asked Scotty to clear up. As far as the lower mains on Saturday, I believe ONLY the B mains are being run on Saturday. Everything else is on Sunday.

Again, this is my opinion, not Motorama's, not Scotty's. It's nothing official, and I may be totally wrong.

The bottom line is Motorama is about family, fun and motorsports. If you can't understand that or don't want all of that, then maybe you are better off not coming. ( I would HATE to see that happen though)

Thanks,
Bob
i get that. But I am there to race, not watch. So basically if the pros have a bad race then they get another chance because it is triple a mains. But if the rest of us do then screw us, we can go watch the bikini show???? WTF! And as far as us not coming...you gonna refund the costs??

So go there and race. Give it your best and if your best is good enough, you will make it to the big show. If you don't want to go because you want a guarantee to make it to the A Main, I say stick to club racing. Not everyone gets a trophy, not everyone makes the A Main. That's racing. That's life.

never said I wanted a guarantee so don't twist it to try to seem intelligent. I just see things as they are. Lets give the pros more track time so the spectators like it. This is my third year there and I am not worried about a trophy but I think the "club racers" should get there moneys worth.

If there is a pro that beats you in a lower main, just think if he qualified in a higher main and bumped someone else in the lower main.. that guy has a better shot of beating you too! either way I go there to beat whoever I race, pro or not , paid in full or freebee I don't care! In the end its all fun for me and I will be getting my moneys worth by checking out everything else it has to offer. If you don't then maybe this event isn't for you, im sure there are others itching to take your guys spots that missed the deadline!

in the end..it is what it is. So I'll deal with it. But that particular change should have been clarified a little better before everyone paid

I apologize if this has already been answered but what would be the best way to change my 2nd class from 4x4 SCT to Pro Electric Truggy? Same transponder #.

Thank you for your help.

No do NOT email Scotty for adjustments to your entries. Email me. I will handle them. Scotty has enough to worry about.

[email protected]. Put Motorama entry correction in the subject of the email.

Also I discussed everything with Scotty this morning and he will make a post with a proper update.

Hello everyone,

I wanted to clarify the schedule and program as there seems to be some questions regarding it and some guys have really gotten upset for some reason. So here is how MR will go.

For the 1/10th side
Friday Practice and 1 qualifier
Saturday Round 2 and 3 of qualification and B mains and First round of Triple A
Sunday. Lower mains and rounds A2 and A3 of Triple Finals.

Here is how the mains will work.

We will qualify the top 9 racers into the A finals. All classes will run Triple A mains. We will run the B mains on Saturday night. The Winner of the B main will bump up to the A final.

On Sunday. We will run the lower finals and we will have bump ups in the lower finals. 1st and 2nd will bump from each lower finals to make 10 car finals. Bump up drivers will be able to bump up as far as the C final.
Winners of the lower finals will get the awards for winning that final. Awards go to 1st place of the lower finals only. The award does not trickle down to 3rd place when 1st & 2nd bump.

Now to answer a few questions I have read.
This program is not designed to benefit the "PRO" it is designed to give everyone involved the best experience we can. This goes from Pro's to Joe's to Spectators. Since I have taken over MR everyone has always asked for Triple A mains. We have not been able to do it until now, That is why we are trying a new format to have a better time schedule to allow us to try this. Again, we are running Triple A for all classes. This includes Stock buggy, Stock SC and all classes. Not just Mod 2wd so this is designed from everyone not just Pro's.

The other reason to try this is to give Spectators some exciting finals to watch on Saturday night. Remember there are different spectators on each day Saturday and Sunday. So now we can offer them some exciting racing on both days.

For the Big Track.

Friday practice and 1 qualifier
Sat Round 2 & 3 of qualifying, B Mains and first rounds of A finals
Sun Lower finals and Round A2 & A3 of finals

We will run 12 car finals. For the A mains, we will take the top 11 Qualifiers to seed the A Final and the winner of the B main will fill the 12th spot.

Lower finals will bump 2 racers up till the C final. That will be as far as you could bump. Winners of the lower finals will get the awards for winning that final. Awards go to 1st place of the lower finals only. The award does not trickle down to 3rd place when 1st & 2nd bump.

We are excited for this new format as it should give everyone a much better experience at MR. Not such long days and nights and more exciting finals.

If you have any other questions at all, please email me at [email protected] and I will be happy to answer them.

Thank you very much,
Scotty
