Gael,

Try and get it together, it should be fun...

Mike,
I can't imagine not making time with a 10.5 and 4600's... guess I'll find out this weekend tho... when Paul suggested going down ten teeth, were you really that overgeared? Or was it more of a tongue-in-cheek remark?

i was really that over geared. in the northeast grand slam series if there is 10 people on the stand a line and 3 minute timer starts. i was never able to get a solid 8 minute run in 10.5 1/12th prior to Q1.

There's no doubt the future of 1/12 scale is single cell lipo. Next season you probably won't see nimh any more. With the difference in weight and the reduced voltage, the rules for 1/12 will have to be rewritten. Minimum weight will have to change (again) and the definition of stock will be different.

The testing that Donny is doing is invaluable. It's the consequences of the results that worry me.

Oh, and I would run 10.5 in a heartbeat (well, if I had a motor)

I say, let's make it a big day of racing, especially in 1/12 Scale........ C'mon Carl G., Latif, Steve S., Gavin, and all my locals.........

Whether your running 4-cell, LiPo, 10.5, come out this Sunday and let's make it a not soon to forget race day.

.......Let your driving do the talking!

Where did you end up geared for the 10.5 after all was said and done... I'm guessing to run around 45-50mm, but I've never run a 10.5, so it's just a wild ass guess at the moment...

I'm there tomorrow. Sorry, only 13.5 rubber and 17.5 foam...No 1/12th scale for me until the 1C thing gets sorted out. And I'm bringing Pags. Carl is MIA.

well I was running a 76T spur and a 37T pinion w/ a 10.5T speedpassion motor. Back then I was running tires kind of big (~44.2mm) so that would be a roll out of about 67.5mm. This gearing was at The Gate which had a longer back straight. Based upon that I would recommend probably starting at a 60-62mm roll for 360.
