Alex, not your fault. Just the way I read it.

Don't mean to confuse anyone but we are so close to having both 4-cell and LiPo cars run together and we do not want to DILUTE the classes. We always intended to make this class grow togther with LiPo batteries and 4 -cell batteries running together.

Once it all gets hammered out and we figure out what Wt. rules apply for the LiPo cars, the field will be evened out and those with different battery choices can enjoy this class together............Come on out this weekend!!

See you all Sunday!

Ah, no.

5 cell or 6 cell, you still ran the same motor.

But you got to run in the same class with different weights.

Same concept, different variables.

How about 1/12 10.5? That's a Grand Slam class and I intend to run it at the Mayhem race. Anyone else have a pair down there?

You know, Steve got me thinking about the 1/12 deal (I will never live this down)

5 cell was an attempt to slow down Mod touring car. I think people were burning motors up.

One sticking point is the use of a 13.5 motor versus a 17.5 Donny has said a 17.5 on a single cell is too slow, no punch out of the corners.

Now a single cell lipo is about the equivalent of 3 Nimh cells (3.7v vs 3.6v)

So using Steve's point what if:

4 cell nimh, 13.5 motor, 865 gram minimum weight,

1 cell lipo, 13.5 motor, 650 gram minimum weight.

The 4 cell car would be faster, but with a 215 gram weight penalty would lose that advantange in the infield. So I ask the experts, would that work?

i think 700 grams would be a sufficent minimum weight for 12 scale lipo......it would be near impossible to make it weigh 650 grams...and you dont wanna have to add a ton of weight it defeats the purpose......we need more people to come to 360 to try these cars to see what donnie ...me ...alex..peter...are runnin reading what we post is not gettin through....this set up requires everyones attention.....very economical...very fast very simple.......
