RCGaryK Is this the same car I had driven once before? Motor I won't need because it's a handout race and batteries...well we just got 2 new packs last weekend, didn't we
Actually, I think it is. This is the car I won the Regionals with at Trackside in 2005 and 2006.

DUH on the motors, although you might want to bring one or two for practice.

I know you just got two new battery packs but I thinking it's going to take 4200 cells to be competitive at this event. I'm sending all my batteries to Professor Neutron so he can add the plutonium center cores

Word is that we might be able to get some 2400 nicad packs from a well-known sport pack supplier for $15 the pair, one pair for each racer. Do you think folks wouldbe willing to shell out the extra fundage in order to have both handout packs and handout motors? I know I would...

$15 bucks a pair heck yea.

A cheap stick battery pack at Radio Shock is $25.00 each.

I'd be interested ... but would like/need to know sooner rather then later. Trying to get things ready for the race.

Leveling the playing field with batteries would work great for me too, but the decision is probably the Tamiya National 2nd place finisher's to make since I think he is the organizer of this.

Congrats David and Nathan on finishing 2nd and 3rd at the TCS Nationals - that's way cool.

Derek and I haven't signed up for the Mini Mayhem race yet, but we plan to be there.

I just need to find some time to practice between now and then. Looking forward to the mini weekend.

Hey folks

Please send in your entries for the Mini Mayhem Race as soon as you can. I need to order up enough silver cans, and it will take a bit of time to tech/dyno them all to assure everyone gets an equal motor. Also want to make sure we have enough spare parts and tires for all your needs.

Thanks

David Weir

I was talking to Scotty at Trackside this weekend and I just want to clarify that it would be $15.00 per pack, so two packs would be $30.00.

Sorry if I jumped the gun on the battery thing, was just passing along what I had heard. Cheap spec packs or not, I'll be there and ready to rumble (or be rumbled, more likely). Either way, not much fundage for an entire weekend of racing with a great bunch of folks at a super facility.

Just let us know whassupp.

Default BATTERY ANNOUNCEMENT

After some discussion, we have decided that we will not change the rules on batteries. While the 2 pack deal was good, some may have already purchased batteries, almost everyone has some packs already, and we didn't want to add to the cost. Personally, I may end up using the 3300 packs we got from Tamiya at the TCS Nationals, or maybe the 3300's I've had for over a year. This should not be a battery war.

Hope all will find this satisfactory.

NOW, please get your entries in ASAP so we can make sure we have enough motors for all!!!

Sounds good, Dave. Hope the track is going to be wide lanes but full of turns without much of a straight. That would take top speed/high voltage/expensive batteries out of the equation...

ps: my entry was mailed yesterday.
